I'm annoyed with being american and using F. But I *feel* like C is just as, maybe a little less arbitrary. I feel like working on the K scale would work better in every possible sense. I mean, imagine cleaning up the "minus" in both? - 10C or -10F. Maybe that's just me.

I can't stand hearing people pronounce the word temperature. It is Tem--per-a-ture ("tem-per-a-chur" or, if you are lazy, "tem-pra-chur") not "tem-pa-chur."

You lost me. First you said 100°C = 212°F (the boiling point of water). Then you said 180°F = 100°C. Either you made a mistake or you didn't explain how that makes sense.
