Christopher Hightower was a killer conman who masqueraded as a church leader and duped people out of thousands of dollars. In 1991, the commodities trader slaughtered a family of three after his friend Ernest Brendel lodged a complaint against him.

The number of killers born in the 40s is astounding. A grim decade to be born- according to serial killers ages.😬

The generation previous to them went through the horrors of WW2 and their traumas were passed down to their children. Generational trauma is real. My siblings and I were adversely affected by our father, a Korean War vet, and my father and his siblings were affected by their father's WW1 experiences. People who say war never ends know what they're talking about.

Now everyone blames their childhood on every bad thing they do. If that’s the case, there must be some horrific parents out there! I won’t say that’s not the case for some ppl bc there are ppl that had awful childhoods. Mine wasn’t horrific but we grew up without the basic necessities in life. But we had a mother that Loved us and she did everything she could to keep a roof over our heads. So who cares if we went to bed hungry at times. Who cares we had to wipe our butts on newspaper. We all survived it and none of us are Drug addicts or Alcoholics! But every Monster can’t blame their actions on their parents either!

Just because one person doesn't end up like this and another does, doesn't mean that it holds no merit. It depends how it impacts each person. There are a multitude of things that can cause someone to become narcissistic or a psychopath. It can be genetic, due to a brain injury, experiences/environment, or a mix of two or three.

Patrick Youngs, the Asst Attorney General who spoke throughout this video but was only identified once for some reason (3:30) - I went back through to find out his name because I was so touched that he still grieved these murdered people, especially the child,Emily, after all the years since they discovered the bodies, compiled the evidence, and put that monster in chains. I really appreciate the hard work GOOD police and prosecutors do, and the toll it takes on them to deal with people like Hightower. At one point, Ernie’s sister said that Hightower didn’t have a soul. I think she’ll be right about that when he dies. I’ve read that some people have been so bad throughout several lifetimes, that their souls are eventually erased so they can never return. But I personally don’t know about that. I’m more of the mind that some people are born with brain damage - shrunken amygdala, whatever - that makes them psychopaths with no true emotion, even if they’re very good at presenting a Sunday school front that fools intelligent people. Hightower so believed in his salesmanship skills that he testified, probably against his lawyer’s advice. This is why I watch true crime. We all knew he buried that child alive when we saw him pretend to be shocked, saying, “I couldn’t believe it. It’s impossible [for anyone] to kill a child.” I’m on the gullible side, because I choose to think the best about everyone until they prove otherwise - beyond any doubt. In other words, it sometimes takes me awhile to pass judgement. That makes me a ripe plum to try to pick for people like Hightower. Therefore, I need to see these people in action to see how they fool people. I too feel sad for everyone who was harmed, sucked by this vile parasite, from his own family to his wives to his friends and neighbors. He is truly worse than worthless.
