Morissette is one of a kind, she really is among what we consider as the greatest singers. Not only is she gifted with a naturally beautiful voice, but also she has developed her talent, skills and techniques, like doing the different inflections in her voice, the squeaks, growls, the belts, the dynamics of lows and highs. She has this effect of making us feel the chills and goosebumps. She can make us teary-eyed at times. Watching her singing is like watching a movie or a tv series, where there is a storyline, it would start slow-paced, delicate, then it builds up to a climax point where all the excitement and the action is, that we cannot let go and would not want to miss a single moment, thus, we don't pause or stop so as not to lose the momentum, and then she goes back down to bring it to the end of the story.🥰 Reflecting on what you said that when Morissette makes a cover, she does a better job, that she makes it as good as, and, at times, even better than the original singer, I am now wondering what the original singers think and feel when they watch Mori make a cover of their songs? Do they get jealous, threatened, or angry at her? Such as in this case of this "Rise Up" by Andra Day, I am not certain about the real story, but I've read in many comments that the team of A.D. have caused the original Wish Bus video to be taken down from KZbin because it is said to have garnered more views than the original singer's video. Is it only about the copyright issues, or were their egos really been hurt? If this cover has not been this good, would it not have been deleted? Anyway, we are thankful to those people, most likely fans or supporters of Mori, who re-uploaded copies of the video, so we were able to watch, appreciate and enjoy it.

Always love Morissette's rendition of this song. It brings me back to good memories. I remember I was bedridden due to a bad fall from a ladder and was very much in pain. I couldn't even sit or stand and my only consolation is to listen to Rise Up and Fly like a Bird by Queen Morissette. These songs gave me me hope, strength and desire to learn how to rehabilitate, exercise my body in order to learn to rise up and walk again. I was able to accomplished it in 15 days.
