At first clicked on and thought comments were overreacting about the sounds and editing style, but uhhhh yeah it is a bit much. It’s not even that the choices made for editing were bad, it’s just that they’re so constant that they lose their value/punch. Keep literally the same edits but tune it down to a 3rd of the amount, and it probably becomes far more palatable to watch.

The editor doesn't deserve this much hate from a bunch of adults that are watching a grown man play a children's video game. No hate towards Marrs. I'm just saying. ​@@ninkstheultimate3376 I personally think that the editing is extreme and doesn't really follow the typical format of Marss videos, and given that his channel has 5 videos every week, style consistency is pretty important. Now, the percentage of Marss' audience who will call the editor and anybody who likes this style iPad babies is a lot larger then it should be, but I think practically the editor either needs to shift the style to better follow the previous videos or try another channel where their skills and talents are better utilized for more receptive viewers. No hate towards the editor, they clearly put a lot of effort, I (and the general majority) just don't think that this was the right place for it.

As far as if it was the right place for it, I think the first few minutes were the deciding factor for most people, as the editing mellows out pretty fast after that. Having sound effects is good, however they should be used for actual meaningful moments rather than every 2 seconds. Information overload through overediting can make the effects stale and they quickly become background noise rather than something to enhance the video. More is sometimes less. This style can work of course but edits need to be varied and there needs to be a lot of things happening in a short period like in a compilation maybe. Some specific critiques, randomly zooming in all the time can disorient viewers. You do not need to zoom in on Marss' face every time he speaks only when he is heavily emoting and nothing else is happening on the screen
