Absolutely furious over the Chicago White Sox main reason for wanting to trade Garrett Crochet

USA Today's Bob Nightengale is reporting the Chicago White Sox held brief contract extension talks with Garrett Crochet with no agreement made. That is now the main reason the White Sox want to trade their ace before the deadline.

Crazy. He will be only getting stronger and better. Possibly the best or definite top 5 mlb pitcher. You aren't going to get a pitcher like that in a trade. What is the point of drafting him to be an ace and not keeping him? They will not win any trade.

You gotta have a reason to even pay attention to a team and Crochet is the Sox reason. You gotta have someone to build around. Trade him and you get prospects. Not proven players. I would trade him now. The value is the highest now due to demand. Won’t be the same in the off season. The assumption everyone is making is that the Sox CAN keep him after two years to build around. Will not happen. He will get a massive pay day and just walk away. I’m on the 5 year plan. Flood the farm and keep your fingers crossed.
