A traditional Arabic red lentils soup is made by sautéing some garlic and onions until translucent you add in the washed lentils and toss them for a bit until their colour start to change and then you put in water or chicken stock twice and a half the amount of lentils and let it simmer. The water will cook down. Then you put in salt and cumin and nothing else(do NOT put in Italian seasoning Kim) then blend it until smooth and creamy. You can add some chopped barsley for garnish and taste You should try it and let us know if you liked it

My Costco in Edmonton sells Tide Free pods. I’ve also been using unscented detergent for years because I work in a scent free workplace and I’m too afraid to use anything else. And I love super long grocery hauls and food prep and cooking. The longer the better!

It’s try and be respectful of people with allergies or who may have adverse reactions to smells (like migraines) etc.

Definitely have been doing the food prep with fresh veggies and fruit. I have containers similar to yours with a small tray at the bottom and the food does stay fresher longer! Did fresh green beans and a week later they were still crunchy. God Bless

Great haul and that was a big one. Little Meredith was so cute gracing us with her adorable presence for a few seconds. You do need more beans. When I make homemade chili I use 3 cans beans to 1 pd ground beef. Makes it go farther. Love your videos. Stay safe.

My dad has a jam company called Jims Jam based out of New Gretna, NJ! He makes pepper jams including Habanero Jam(very mild), Ghost Pepper Jam(medium), and Reaper Jam(hot)! He also makes Blueberry Jam, Blueberry Habanero Jam, and Cowboy Candy (candied jalapeños)! They are all delicious and perfect for cracker and cheese boards like you showed!!!

I was going to ask you if slicing the carrots up like that preserve better 😂 and you answered at the end of the video. I have containers that are similar but don't have the colander baskets in them. Mine are by Tupperware with those little vent holes. There is a description on each container on how they work. I don't know. I got them as a host gift many moons ago 🤣! I like yours a LOT!!

Great haul. Reminds me when all my 8 children were small. Yes 8 children, who has 8 children..me :) I would come home with all the food from a store like Costco. We didn't have Costco yet. My at the time husband would say. After I bought the stuff, carried it in, put it away. He said, ' what are you COOKING for dinner" And that is why he " "was" my husband. I too picked up the chicken and micro potatoes..

I use dish soap to wash waxy apples from the local orchard. Hot water and soap really helps. I rinse them anyway so I don't worry about soap residue!

We eat a lot of chili pepper on cream cheese. But, we also pour pickapeppa on cream cheese. If you never have eaten it, you must try it. We also eat a lot of speghatti squash and the only way to cook it is in the Instant Pot.

You should try parsnips!! They are sweet like carrots and are GREAT roasted with butter and salt and pepper. And also, you can take the carcass of the roasted chicken and stew it for a couple hours and get the most nutritious bone broth then strain and freeze for some of your soups!

Oh definitely your food stays fresh longer when it's been properly washed. A vinegar and water mix is great too, just leave them in there to soak for half an hour, swish them round a bit and rinse!! ☺️
