a TOC mode could be fun; though I think if they do add it, it should be post or near release so that everything else is nailed down. Possibly you could get: top down view of the floor plan, with equipment+status of each operator Fog of War type mechanic that you have to manually place down markers as your operators move through the site (i.e. like a traditional war room where you place down markers for civilians, arrested suspects, killed suspects, killed operators, etc.) That way you kinda have something to do with your time rather than just sitting there like a spectator

@Karmakut completely agree on the shotgun assessment. But you gave both operators a move and look west command at 41:53. They will keep looking that way for a second if you move them again. You gotta cancel that before moving if you want them to look in the direction they go. It's a small but important control in the game. Sorry, but those 2 KIAs actually are on you. Love how you looked back and analyzed the play! Controlling where your operators look during and after a move could have been better in a few situations, but still really great play overall. I played this map, it's really challenging.

Gave the operator a forced look command and he remembered his command while following the move order. If he didn't have a forced look he would have looked south when moving.
@noa.extreme8 күн бұрын
So if you have an operator looking in a certain direction, meaning it's showing with an arrow pointed, it will take him a second of movement to break from that soft command and shift his view to the direction he's moving towards. To cancel this out, if you want your trooper to flow his view with his travel, right click and delete his current directional command. It will negate the soft directional command and make him shift his view along with the direction he's moving. At 41:54, Crawford died because his command was to look deep into the room, his movement wasn't long enough to automatically break that command. It's also why some of your flips were janky, where your operators walked into rooms while still looking away, opening them up to threats with no way to defend themselves. After Crawford died, his two man was simply not looking because he was trusting his one man to at least be aware of the threat, which he wasn't. Anyway, clearly not a flaw in your tactics, it's an insanely hard structure to raid with 5 bodies. But your controls were definitely the culprit in your men getting killed. Not a rant :) Simply an explanation, those mistakes happened for a reason, and there are controls in the game which let you change that. I know it was two years ago, but I watched this video again, and having the knowledge I do now, felt it might be knowledgeable to anyone who comes across this comment.

@54:49 You say you wouldn't expect that from a shotgun at that distance. The average door is 32-36" wide and if we take the door right next to you as a measurement then you are approximately 7-8 yards from the threat. There is a reason the Germans complained about shotguns in trench warfare.
@WhenDevilsDuel2 жыл бұрын
Germans didn't have state of the art body armor in the trenches bud. These units do, it's highly unrealistic for that to kill or even maim.

@Ferrel OGOULA KEVLAR. Kevlar kevlar kevlar kevlar. *clears throat* kevlar. On a serious note. "Heavy body armor" is literally useless against shotties, but kevlar, lightweight and soft should take it no problem. Sure a pellet could theoretically potentially hit the head but it would have to hit the eyes with a helm.
@WhenDevilsDuel2 жыл бұрын
@Ferrel OGOULA no. The devs just accidentally made the damage for that particular shotgun absurdly high. It's not an intended feature to be one shot by a gun meants for birds.

@Ferrel OGOULA most definitely not. Do some research clown. Did you know police use it for the exact same reason the military does? Breaching. Think about that. It's a weapon system just like any other, full on gun, but its most efficient use... is to shoot door hinges. There's a reason bud.

I think this would have been better, especially if in Ready or Not, if the Map was completely Black, can't even see the layout of the walls, and instead gets slowly revealed by the view of the players/Characters. And speaking about Ready or Not, I can think of a situation and gameplay where this kinda view 'Could' work. Well not this specific view, but a kinda Operator in the back that isn't on the Field and instead Directing the team. Namely, there is an Object hidden in the map that you need to find. Something that doesn't stick out, is easily overlooked, and small. Like say a USB in an office map where there are dozen of USBs sitting around the offices. Have the players be completely Blind, randomization would be great for that, and instead give the Operator 3 abilities. The first, is that they can see a map of the area. BUT, they can't see the Players or details on it. ONLY the Map, namely the outline walls and doors. So have to Constantly be getting information from the players to know their exact location and mapping it out. Such as with a Marker, and can put Xs on Rooms they already searched. On this map, and X to the 'Floor' or 'Section' of the map the object is, and they have to guide the team there over the radio. Again, they can NOT see the location of the players on the map, they have to mark anything and everything themselves by hand. Second ability, namely in the bigger maps and not homes, have some cameras scattered around the map that the operator can look through But A, have no indication of WHERE the Cameras area on the map. Just be 'Camera 1' off to the side they can access and look through, but have no idea WHERE on the map that camera actually is. And instead, have it so that the Players on the field have to pay attention and notice if there is a Camera nearby and tell the operator they see one so they check the cameras and can find out which one it is and using the info they keeping track on the map, where the location of that camera is and thus can use it to keep an eye around when the players leave that area or goes into rooms. This will help the Team by say, having the Camera usually at a turn in the hall, so can see down the corner before the players do and can warn them about things they see in the hallway that the players can't. Third, Remove the Bodycams from the players, and give them exclusively to the Operator to view from. However, the Operator can only do 1 thing at a time. He can only look at the map, not the Cameras or Bodycams. If he looks through the Map Cameras, he can't see the Bodycam, or the map. The operator as to juggle which of these features he wants to use and do. But tied to that, can also put a limit on the Radio. For example, can make it so that only ONE of the players, picked at random, has a 'Radio' that can talk with the Operator, and the Operator to that person only. So the Operator can't hear what the others are saying, they can't hear what he says, and the person picked has to work as the middle man to work the two sides together. And of course then, if that guy died someone else is randomly picked who is alive, or maybe even have the others have to go to his body and manually pick up the radio item to gain that ability, so if the guy went off on his own and died, the team has to hunt down his body blindly without a guide. Finally, to make it interesting, having the Objectives, such as Hostages, looking for bombs, searching for a USB, getting evidence. Have it only show up the Objective for the Operator only, AND have it show up one at a time, revealing the next one when they complete the first. So say, the first objective is on the first floor on the west side, once completed, would show that the second objective is on the second floor on the east side. This way they slowly work their way across the whole map. And having enemies across the entire map and moving, even respawning maybe even when each objective is completed, makes the combat and tense situation always there, so they can't just clear the whole map ignoring the operator and win by brute force. Cause they wouldn't know what they were looking for, which area it was in to search, and when completing that 1 objective, a second one and new enemies would spawn in the areas they just cleared out so they were no longer safe going back into already cleared out rooms. ---- But then again, that entire thing could be an entirely different and unique game not tied to Ready or Not. *Shrugs* My 2 cents for the idea.

I think you are caring too much at holding angles rather than pushing through. When you have not many operators you should care about the movement and what they cover while moving.
@adiyo0112 жыл бұрын
I respectfully disagree. Unless there are specific reasons, it's better to limit your exposure unless you're doing something like hostage rescue where time is of the essence. Going fast triggers a lot of angles and overstimulates the the operator who has to check too much at once. Through his video, look at how many decisions he had to take in regards to angles and thresholds. 1) it's incredibly difficult to move cohesively as a team (even more so in real time) with efficient flow. If you don't believe me, try it yourself with a bunch of friends in ready or not and see how difficult it is to move as a stack. 2) you would still be forced to make all those decisions, but you compress your timeline and decision making process.
@shoegazzzzzeeee2 жыл бұрын
@@adiyo011 I see what you mean. But you can lose speed and dominance of the situation coz of going too slow. To make it not hard for team to be efficient and take not that much time, they should train more and make SOP strategies and tactics for all difficult situations.
