With 4%of francos votes the libéral is à municipale party the west island party the have zéro cerdibility in Québec

It's been less than one electoral cycle, and the party hasn't had their leadership election yet. Remember where the PQ was one election cycle ago before their leadership election? Single-digits, even further behind where the Liberals are now.

11billion is not alarming perhaps, but with the amount of taxes we collectively pay and saq,hydro and pot, we shouldn t even have a deficit. i agree coderre did his time.
@dez780010 ай бұрын
I mean if we didn't send taxes to the incompetent federal government, we probably wouldn't have deficits... We don't get the full transfers in health and immigration as well. An independant Quebec would be richer!

@@dez7800 For 2023-24 only Ontario (20.289 billion) will receive more federal health transfer dollars than Quebec (11.455 billion). Same applies to federal social transfers which will be 6.587 billion and 3.719 billion respectively. But when it comes to federal equalization payments Quebec will be the biggest recipient at 13.316 billion followed by Manitoba at 4.352 billion. Overall Quebec will receive the most federal transfer payments at 28.490 followed by Ontario at 27.452. Also, the Quebec Abatement gives a reduction of 16.5% on federal personal income tax for all Quebecers filing taxes.
@dez780010 ай бұрын
@@ithinkthat Quebec and Ontario receive about the same amount of health and social transfers per capita. Also, among the recipients, Quebec receives less equalization per capita than all others except NL... Also the Quebec abatement is because we opted out of some federal programs. Why would we have to pay for programs we don't use?
@ithinkthat10 ай бұрын
@@dez7800 Those stats were pulled directly from the Government of Canada website. For 2023-24 combined transfers for Quebec will be 3.137 per capita whereas Ontario will receive 1.707. Quebec will receive more than Newfoundland, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC. Agreed on Quebec Abatement but we still pay less taxes than the rest and take in more per capita in transfers than many.
@dez780010 ай бұрын
@@ithinkthat I know, that's what I looked at, but absolute values don't mean much in this case... Of course a province with more people has bigger impacts than less populous ones. I get it that you're trying to show Quebec is the poor province getting money, but why do you compare Quebec and Ontario with per capita values and then Quebec and the others by total values... It's deceitful... On a per capita basis, yes, Quebec receives more than Ontario, but then it receives less than Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut...

P’t-êt’ ben qu’oui, p’t-êt’ ben qu’non ! Quebeckers are the ultimate Normans when it comes to independence. I hate this: make up you mind. It is like changing the driving side: you cannot do this gradually taking 50 years.
