Absolutely Wild Historic Car Race Hit by Rain - ATCC Australian Touring Cars Blend Line TV

Check out this race from Sydney as a combined grid of legendary Australian Touring Cars from Group A and Group C is smashed by rain in the closing stages of the race. It allows the Group C Army Reserve Falcon to chase down the VL Walkinshaw HRT Commodore in the closing stages.
While other legendary cars including STP Roadways Group C Commodore, JPS BMW M3, Toyota Sprinters and others all battle throughout the field.

That Volvo has been drastically lightened! The towbar & roof racks have been removed & the Labradors are missing from the back seat. They didn't go overboard though, it seems to still be carrying it's 2000RPM Tacho, 80KPH Speedo and the 40HP Truck Engine appears to be in place.

@@marcelschneller1152 We love our old cars here. We still drive 'em. If they get a bit tired, we poke 'em into sheds. Some of 'em sit in those sheds for decades. For the last 50 years some of us have hunted around & found these cars gathering dust. Occasionally, we uncover an old racecar or even what looks like a road car, that turns out to have been a race car that went back on the road, got tired & got shedded. Because we have this undying love for our old cars, some of us never go to Bali or dickhead Las Vegas. We blow our savings on returning these fabulous cars to their former functionality & where possible, whack 'em back on race tracks where they belong. We love our old cars. Sadly, in other parts of the word, people are more interested in other things. We have race meetings at circuits all around the country speciffically for these Historic cars & we have a category devoted to replica cars. That category is Group N. Baskerville Tasmania & Phillip Island Victoria regularly showcase these older cars. Come to Australia. See some meetings. You'll have the time of your life!

Yes, this race was for Group A and Group C cars. RT Chargers / LC & LJ Toranas are all part of Group N era.
