Forget what these guys said. This is a wonderful deck props to you. Eveyone needs to remember that this is a budget deck so essentially there aren't going to be too many op cards in here. And if I remeber correctly he told everyone that you all can change it however you like to. So add all the bioshifts and forced adaptations you want to it but this guy knows what he is doing. Evolve is a very tricky thing to work with. I still cant really wrap my head around how to .ake the premise work smoothlybut let me tell you this guy has made something that comes very close to what I would like to call a very smooth efficient evolve deck. Hats off to you absolute mtg

I really enjoy seeing budget deck tech stuff. When working with cheaper cards it makes you have to be more creative with card choices. I would really like to see more budget deck techs in the future!

Suggestion for your videos: The more expensive/ more effective cards you mention while going through the deck you should list in the description. Besides that though awesome job!

I've got the hole deck ready expect the predator oozes (they are a little bit expensive for me at this time). I do realize tha the ooze is a main card in the deck but is there any other (cheaper) card that I could use instead of predator ooze?
@ComputerizedCannibal11 жыл бұрын
Yes to both. If you assign a blocker, then the attacking creature is now considered blocked, thus meaning no damage will go through UNLESS the creature has trample in which case all damage will go through as your blocking creature is no longer there. Responding to Searing Spear will work too. Keep in mind FILO. Searing spear on the stack, you respond by putting RH on the stack. RH resolves first, thus making Searing Spear fizzle out.

very nice deck! I'm currently working on a not so budget simic deck. ( but far from being expensive) just because I had a couple master biomancers laying around and I picked up a kalonian hydra. This deck still helped me learn of a couple cards I was not aware of, like Spell Rupture! Such great value, because it counters early game nicely to a lack of mana, and mid game, you got some nice, hopefully somewhat beefy evolvers!! Also, ashamed to say, I didn't think of zameck and undying combo...

i really appreciate these budget guides. i just started playing mtg and have almost no dual lands. every time i play around with an online deck builder i end up with 3 colors, since it's such a waste to not use them. so until i got these lands, the u/b/w control deck that i want can't be done.

Awesome video. thanks for doing a budget build. please do more. Again, super informative and helpful for those with little money/ im trying to build naya blits right now.but I got a pretty good list that im working off of. thanks again.

just built this deck on amazon and it came out to $46 (i did not include basic land card prices but did include the guildgate). I didnt spend too much time making it and i wasnt hunting for the best price; im sure if you spent time searching, you could knock off a few dollars. i was hoping this would be a little cheaper but a deck is a deck. Thanks Cinnajob for making these nice budget decks :)
@Lovecraftian_duck11 жыл бұрын
I run this deck too :) thanks for the deck tech!! However my difference is my spell base, im running Hunger of the Howlpack, Give/Take, Prey Upon, and a switch with naturalize. It helped make the deck strong in even longer games as well since this is more of an aggro deck.
@alronthunderdrummer11 жыл бұрын
fun thing about predator ooze is that it says "when predator ooze attacks", not "when this card attacks", so if you attack with 4 predator ooze, each ooze get 4 +1/+1 counters. really darn powerful
@AbsoluteMTG12 жыл бұрын
If you run any more Islands, you run into the situaltion where you don't get enough green sources, that's why I said in the video that dual lands help. Mathematically speaking, if you start adding more Islands to the deck, it gets worse.

One thing I really like about bant delver is that you can play around the Quirion Dryad and hands of binding which cripples aggro. Tapping down all their blockers and ciphering onto the giant dryad or flying delver really destroys my aggro decks, I know someone playing bant delver, it's pretty good.

I definitely agree that Prey Upon needs to be in here. I found that a lot of the time I'd want to attack with Predator Ooze to buff him but wanted to leave him behind to block if my opponent had more creatures than me.

One of the more expensive cards you could look at is Prime Speaker, Zegana. Very powerful draw engine. Thragtusk is also quite expensive but could be a very good card for you.
@stevenfinley189911 жыл бұрын
I would think that having a few heavy creatures (Worldspine Wurm, Nimbus Swimmer, and the Maze Runner [Not big but great to bump]) and maybe Gyre Sage. None of them are really expensive and makes the deck better. I had a budget simic deck that managed 3-1 in a FNM because of all the ramp and fat creatures I had.
@AbsoluteMTG12 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I didn't notice it haha. It was supposed to be Naturalize.

I like this deck a lot. Works really well on a budget, and I've won a FNM with this deck, though i had 2 Master Biomancers. this is my style of deck, though i usually play RDW.
@stuckinastairwell11 жыл бұрын
Bioshift is a pretty neat combat trick since its instant speed and doesn't need a set up to reload an undying creature while making an experiment one or cloudfin raptor bigger, so I'm in favor of playing that card

did really well in standard with this deck (considering the following things): went 2-0 against a U/W control deck worth roughly $500 (shock lands,Verdicts, Revelation, Snapcaster, Tamiyo, etc). Went 2-1 against a Golgari beats worth roughly $300 (Scavenging Ooze, Liliana, shock lands, $ Black rares, etc). My losses came ONLY when I ran fewer blue mana and counter spells. So my tips to improve: Swap two Simic Charms for two Rancor, 2x Negate over 2 Cloudfin and 11 Forest & 7 Islands.

Interesting deck. I liked this alot. What's your thought on using Sundering Growth instead of Naturalize in the sideboard. Since you might have tokens on the table you might as well wanna populate. And GG instead of 1G wouldn't be a problem in this deck I think ...

Two questions about Rapid Hybridization. Can I block with a creature that would normally die then use Rapid Hybridization which kills it, then get a 3/3 frog lizard thus taking no damage and getting a new creature? Also if someone tries to searing spear my creature can i use it as interrupt to destroy my creature, wasting their spear, and get a frog lizard?

hey man, i love your videos...your budget deck techs are super amazing you inspired me to build that simic deck and i think it will be amazing....i ordered all the cards and have a lot of ideas to improve it...for example ooze flux to remove the counters(not in the format thou i guess) what format relevant alternatives do you think this deck has to improve it....duallands for sure but what else? Cheers

It's price is fluctuating from place to place. Here in Brazil, a set is going for 30$, which isn't really budgety on Brazilian coin. Anyways, as you said, it isn't really a high price considering the of the deck.

hey man, i love your videos...your budget deck techs and Gatecrash Analysis: Orzhov are super amazing, but since I play orzov standard, and I don't have bunch of cash to spend, it would be a great help if you could post a Budget Deck Tech for orzov deck that dosen't include bunch of tokens, that rely more on the orzov mechanic(extort). I also have a problem playing against Sphinx's Revelation and Naya decks.

Man, i am a new magic player.. I spent a bit on making a 'Bant aura deck' but it loses to a lot of builds my friends play, and thats fine with me i really liked the play style.. How ever i checked your budget decks, i actaully REALLY liked how much synergy had.. this one is definitely my favorite, i just wanted 2 know, if i wanted 2 invest a bit more money then what this one would cost ( even though it seems really awesome in general ) what other simic cards could i be looking for?
@Theshwab12711 жыл бұрын
I run an aggro Simic Deck its quite ridiculous and i can win turn 5 or even turn 4 if im lucky. It usually goes turn 1 Cloudfin Raptor, Turn 2 Slitherhead which adds a counter to Cloud, then kill slither using Rapid Hybridization, which gives you another creature which evolves the raptor again, then exile slither from the graveyard for a 3/4 flying creature and a 3/3 ground creature turn 2. Then i usually play Strangleroot + another Rapid next turn or play a Dreg Mangler and swing. Its Ridic

Rapid Hybridization + Zameck Guildmage makes the deck playable. Opponent wants to get rid of the guildmage? spend 2 mana for zameck's ability to put +1/+1 counters, spend 1 for rapid hybridization on zameck, get a 4/4 to evolve your guys.
