So glad I found your video!!! Boat looks great, I have always had trouble working with Bondo but thought this is what it is capable of. Thanks to the comments section for helping with the proper mix, can’t wait to try it again

Having been in the boat building game for to many years, I think you have done a good job, as you said its not what I would have done but for someone who hasn't done this type work before you did good. What you can do with it now is use it as a plug and make a mould from it then you can make and sell as many boats as you like.

A tip on the bondo: about a golfball of bondo to a pea of hardener is usually a pretty good mix....and if you do it on a flat surface like a piece of MDF or glass, you can mix and get to it more easily with the spatula, and scrape it clean. A wider spatula cut out of the side of plastic icecream tub works pretty well, and the flange at the lid end is easy to hold...it's a bit stiffer too.

That Plastic board you used will weld using a 40 watt soldering iron with a clean tip give it a Try. I used it for the back of Station wagons for ropes tools ETC.

wouldn't using hot glue instead of a needle and thread be easier?
@AbsorberofLight6 жыл бұрын
Sure, that would probably work just as well as long as the hot glue is not exposed to direct sunlight.

I can see why the Indians hollowed out trees to make their boats..... so much easier!
@harshlakhara1996 жыл бұрын
Eric Keller we indians can always find a way to make things happen as there is a little story...Once there was a soap making company but then problem occurred that sometimes the packet goes empty because of packaging problem so company solved this problem by putting huge x ray detection machine by putting thousands of dollar when the same problem happened in an indian company they just simply put a table fan so the empty packet will be flew away and saved thousands of rupees 😂😂😂 #SorryForBadEnglish
