GMA loves remembering the past while ABS-CBN is well grounded in the present. While I like GMA for its efforts to introduce basic history to TV viewers and movie goers (if the agreement between GMA and SM still stands), I like how ABS-CBN shows where we are now: moving forward in the country while going on abroad. I just hope Muslim Mindanao doesn't feel kinda left out.

And again I came here after watching GMA's version of Lupang Hinirang, GMA's version is far more nationalistic, ramdam na ramdam ung patriotism at pagmamahal sa bansa. Introduction palang malalaman mo na sa narration kung para kanino Nila ipinipresent ang pambansang awit. Tapos may flashbacks pa ng mga big historic events sa kasaysayan natin, it's a plus for me. I used GMA's version when I am handling school programs. This is a mere opinion.

I always feel the goosebumps whenever i watch our national anthem in GMA, it reminds me how they fought for our freedom... While this vid is somehow good but it just only reminds me the faces of their artist, unlike in GMA, the history sustain. Honestly, i am not fanatic of these two station... I completely agree with you, @jthel. ABS-CBN, through TFC, aims to reach OFWs like us. What better way to reach out than to incorporate aspects of buhay OFW in their official video for the National Anthem? Both videos are absolutely beautiful - GMA focused its video on the tumultuous history of the Philippines, while ABS-CBN focused its own production on Filipino culture and the Pinoy diaspora. It's simply this stupid "network war" that tries to pull out the negative aspects on videos like this.

Sorry po pero in terms of production quality and nationalistic feel lamang na lamang po yung 2013 version ng "Lupang Hinirang" music video ng GMA. Though walang artista yung kanila eh nakafocus yung version nila sa modern day Filipino heroes na nagsasakripisyo para sa araw-araw nilang pamumuhay. Bayani sila para sa kanilang mahal sa buhay. Paano yan kapag may talent ang ABS-CBN na nalipat sa GMA o TV5 gagawa na naman sila ng bago o edit-edit ulit? The Philippine National Anthem should focus more on being proud being a Filipino not just on being a "Kapamilya" only.
