I love your UTube videos. So informative. The gold leaf blending is a great technique to keep it from looking just placed on, but still keeps the glints ❤

Thanks Cherie. Yes, it's my preference and my style to integrate the gold into my paintings by layering over it a bit. I love the effect.

I know your florals are abstract, but to me there is a feeling of realism especially if I squint my eyes and see a garden of beauty. I love 💕 your style and your work is beautiful! ❤😊😍

aaahhh, I see what you mean. I just squinted and I can see that as well. I Love that we all see things in a unique way. Thank you for sharing that.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I am so happy you found this video useful and enjoyable ! I got this particular brush from my brother, but I used Google and it appears it is called a mop brush. Blick sells one here (but I imagine they are not hard to find other places): www.dickblick.com/items/silver-brush-white-goat-silver-mop-brush-round-size-16-short-handle/?clicktracking=true&wmcp=pla&wmcid=items&wmckw=09294-1016&country=us¤cy=usd&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_wX_H9GLD75_Wue41E21OW1VDAa&gclid=CjwKCAiA9bq6BhAKEiwAH6bqoMD-RnnOiGhbKFMyf_E6uuYWF4D4I4wVeLRyDrLP6Ul0q0RWiM1BmBoCF9EQAvD_BwE

I love your tutorials and the style of your painting. Did I miss how you lay the gold leaf embellishments in this video?
@kathleen_rietz_artist3 күн бұрын
Thank you. No, I had not intended to create a KZbin video around this painting. But as I was about half way finished with the painting, I thought it might be nice to share what I have been working on and also some new techniques such as the blending brush and Neocolor II pastels. So I made this video. I may show how I apply gold leaf in another video, but you can also watch my video "Adding Gold Leaf to an Acrylic Painting" kzbin.info/www/bejne/inbYfaVveZegba8si=5ZUKaHwWbyI1sP5D

What type of gloss varnish do you use? Is it in a spray can? Brand?
@kathleen_rietz_artist3 күн бұрын
Hi there! If you watch the entire video, in the final 2 minutes I discuss the types and brands of varnish I use and recommend. There are several I list in the video for you, and all are professional brands of spray varnish that protect against UV damage.

Hi We need to see the process from the beginning.
@kathleen_rietz_artist3 күн бұрын
Try another video. I have plenty on my channel that show my process from start to finish.
@marypartridge51543 күн бұрын
We need to know the colours used and really it was not a demo. There are other channels that show the whole process which is easy to learn
@kathleen_rietz_artist3 күн бұрын
It was definitely a demo, and there was plenty to learn from the techniques I demonstrated in the video. I did not plan to film this painting as content for KZbin, as the painting is for a future collection I’m working on, but felt there was quality info to share, so I decided to film my techniques midway through the painting. There are no rules, by the way. Only positive vibes and free content are shared on this channel. If you are interested, I have plenty of content on KZbin that shows complete demos from start to finish, along with lists of my paint colors and materials used, generously offered for free. I also have paid courses you can check out that go much more in-depth and also include a free private Facebook group where you can post your coursework and receive feedback and support. This my channel, and decide what to share and I offer a lot of valuable information for free. And yes, there are plenty of other channels you can watch if you are dissatisfied with the content I offer. Have a nice day.
