I love how KZbin has come along to help aid with abstract art. It's so many times about the process and most people only see the very end result of the process when they see the painting. They dont see all the paintings underneath. That's why watching abstract art videos on KZbin is one of my favorite things to do. I love seeing all the paintings it took to get to Italy evolved state. Thats also why I started filming myself painting. Most my videos are acrylic pours but I film my other abstract paintings. I also take pictures of the painting at stopping points.

Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I've always loved seeing something evolve as well but I used to just speed up my videos and add music. I'm pleasantly surprised at the positive comments I'm getting here and the audience I'm developing. That's why I love KZbin too, I watch process videos as well and love seeing how other artists work. I'll check out your videos.

Thank you Linda for documenting your process. The finished piece is lucious with depth. As a self-"learning" artist, I have learned so much from this and your other videos. I am playing with layers on a new project. Your timing (for me) is PERFECT. I will be fearless. I will be bold. I will create. Thanks so much!!!

I'm so glad I've inspired you! That was my intention but I really didn't know what kind of response I'd get with this one because it goes through so many changes. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy painting!

I'm so glad. I really thought I was going to get some backlash here about how I covered things up so much. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Are you an online class anywhere? OR, later on, maybe doing a workshop live?
@LindaCelestian4 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy, I have a Abstract Painting Technique class on Skillshare but it really only covers the techniques not how to put them together in a painting. I'm planning to create a full abstract painting course in the near future. What kinds of things would you like to see me include? Thanks for watching here and commenting. Have a great day!

You say you work on dry layers. You are working primarily with acrylics and spray paint, but it takes "weeks" to achieve. Hmmm.
@LindaCelestian Жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely. I'm usually working on more than one painting at a time. Each layer has to dry completely which may take an hour or more with thick layers so I move on to something else in the meantime and come back to it. If you look at this one painting it went through so many different stages which involved so many decisions. I know other artists might finish a painting in one day I definitely don't work that way. Thanks for watching. Linda
