I definitely really like your approach, your way of progressing on the canvas. One definitely learns a lot by watching your work and listening to your comments. Merci Linda!

Thankyou so much for sharing your thought processes. The push & pull & knowing when to carry on or stop resonated with me. It's so encouraging to realise other artists go through similar transitions.

Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I usually choose to make a bold move even if it means losing the painting for a while by covering up something that was working. It needs to work as a whole and I want to make work that is gutsy not timid. Best, Linda

It's nice to hear another artist who gets carried away and doesn't want to top and covers up something that works lol I think in our subconscious we know we have to keep going even though it can be as you said quite depressing, thank you for sharing your thought process as well as your techniques

Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Some people think making abstract work must be easy but it can be quite stressful when at any moment you can go from great to complete junk. Am I right?

@@LindaCelestian Totally right, I've gessoed more pieces of paper and canvases than I have finished pieces, many after them looking pretty good in places but the 'oh I'm enjoying this takes over lol' stopping is not an option though ;)

Its funny being a viewer. You find yourself attached to a certain piece of someone else's work! And then you are agast when they change it. I loved it all at various stages and then the last phase the most. Very mysterious, like a Piranesi landscape. Thanks for sharing
