If there is one thing I would add as a negative to Michael's video's it is his speed that comes across as hyper active. It builds up into something that could irritate. And not only that. It causes many of his mistakes in his videos. In his more recent videos he seems to have realized and corrected this.

The definition of an ideal is plainly wrong I think.

An ideal does not need to be a sub ring, it just need to be an abelian group over addition, and to have the other property he mentioned

So his definition is “correct” but it’s not a full definition of an ideal
