My work is a fusion of Minimalism and Expressionism, blending the simplicity and clarity of minimalistic design with the emotional intensity and dynamic gestures, marks, materials of expressionist art. This fusion is my chosen language in this series, a way to convey complex emotions through seemingly simple forms.
Embracing the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, I find beauty in imperfection and transience. The irregularities, the flatness, and the limited color palette are all intentional, aiming to evoke a raw and powerful response. Each piece is a meditation on simplicity, an exploration of how minimal elements can express profound truths and emotions.

You make it look so easy to do. Believe me, I have tried to make paintings that replicate your style, but I can't. What I have learnt from you, and am now practicing is using techniques that you teach to find my own style. Thank you for that. It has made my art journey fun. I now follow my own intuition. It will take many years of introspection and playing before I become anywhere close to the professional artist that you are, but you've given me the courage to try. thank you. Another example that I find so intriguing is "Kintsugi", the practice of fixing broken ceramics with golden lacquer to create beautiful, intricate patterns. I also have learned that it is a Japanese design aesthetic

@CherylWilsonArt Hi Cheryl~!! The Solar storms are what caused the Northern Lights about 10 days ago. I hope you got to see them! Alas... I didn't, even tho I was out looking for 3 nights in a row up here in Northern Montana! Very disappointing! But yes, since then, the videos on my tablet have been so fuzzy! I did get to see a lot of the texture on your 3 pieces tho! Stunning! I love how you put up the finished piece when you are working on it!! Most interesting!! Thank you Dear One! ~xoxo~
