Thank you so much for sharing you techniques via your videos. I've never 'done art' before, but you're last posts/vids encouraged me to have a go with a canvas, some teabags, instant & coffee granules and acrylics. It was a lot of fun and, whilst you don't need to worry about a competitor just yet 😂, I was stoked with the result and it's hanging in my hallway. Thanks again!

Dollar Tree sells the canvas boards and I’m sure it’s cheaper than Michaels. 😊. What a great way to recycle coffee grounds and the filters!

You could always use round canvas. ❤️

Interesting. I love the aged look of the filters. Thanks for sharing! do you have a video showing what you do on top of these layers? Are you collaging? Painting?
@mollysuppleeart4 ай бұрын
I'll be creating more process videos! It all depends on how I'm feeling. I will typically add paint and limestone powder layers down (more on this to come) as well as a mix of collaging.

Wow Molly! You’re from Lancaster Pa.? I went to school there. Have you ever heard of Academy of the Assumption (also known as Assumption)?

Hi Molly and thank you for sharing this technique. My coffee machine doesn't use the coffee filter paper, where can I get those paper filters?
@mollysuppleeart5 ай бұрын
@@oscarcartayasainz998 you can buy them on Amazon or your local grocery store :)

Great video again what kind of cogfee grounds are you using ? instant coffee ? on the video it looks big grounds ..
@mollysuppleeart5 ай бұрын
Not instant coffee, just regular coffee grounds pulled from my coffee machine after we brewed some! I dry them out on a plate and then store them in a mason jar in my studio. You could also use fresh grounds, but I like to recycle!

Great ideas ! I have used coffee in painting but never thought of doing this . Thanks

Is it possible to do some of this when also using watercolor? I’m a watercolor painter, but have been exploring mixed mediums. This would be great as the base of my watercolors.
@mollysuppleeart5 ай бұрын
@1105renrut yes, coffee filter would make a beautiful ground for watercolor painting! Try it out and let me know how it goes!

I worry about your coffee consumption...
@mollysuppleeart5 ай бұрын
@blablabla6-k2d 😂 I only drink a half cup a day because I'm pregnant. A little goes a long way with coffee grounds. You don't need much!
