Frog tape the yellow one would be the same in uk. Green frog tape is too strong and would pull off layers

In the US, blue tape is called painters' tape. IDK how it compares to the tape (masking) he uses.

this is another very creative piece! I still wonder what the tool you used at 7:27mins, the one did the black stroke? it is cool tool!

I think it’s hard haired brush and that he used sprapaint on the brush, I was also wondering if it’s a spatula but I get a almost similar effect with a brush and high pressure spraypaint (to get more paint on the brush, soft pressure dries to fast to make a stroke that big

You've probably forgotten about this question and/or you've already figured out the answer, but in case you haven't (or if newer viewers are also wondering what it is) it's a paint marker with a very wide nib. He fills the marker with acrylic paint that is the correct consistency he's looking for and then uses it to create magic! A few of his other videos have better views of the marker, like the video for his piece called "Ruptis". Just search that title and his name and it should be easy to find. Around the 2:20 mark is where you get a great view of the marker. He has multiple markers with varying sizes of nibs. Hopefully this super long comment will be of use to someone!😉

Genius leaves clues. John looks like you leave some of your clues on purpose. Like the knife in your hand whilst peeling off the tape. Or the razor knife laying in the foreground while peeling off the tape. My guess is that you cut the paint at the tape line just deep enough to cut only the paint. My question is does he do it after each layer of paint is applied?
