Dark void and hyperspace fury used by a Smeargle also fit into the category of "extremely powerful moves that wont deal damage", since both moves fail when not used by Darkrai / Hoopa unbound. Hyperspace Hole is bc its animation relies on unbound's arms, and dark void fails because it used to be abused by smeargle in competitive

I was intending for "extremely powerful" to mean "stronger than most moves", but I had no idea Smeargle couldn't use Hyperspace Hole! Thank you for your excellent trivia

Joltik is 595, which is all about arthropods, insects, etc. Joltik is based on a tick. It would also work.
@elijahfoltz37558 ай бұрын
So would Frillish, as it's 592 on the Pokédex and 592 in Dewey Decimal is all about invertebrates. Possibly Jellicent too, unless "miscellaneous marine and seashore invertebrates" does NOT include jellyfish. Basically, there's more than one answer.

Proud to have known both the Archeops Pokedex number fun facts. Technically I second-guessed myself a bit on the one in the thumbnail actually being it's pre-evolved form, Archen, but I still overall knew where that was going.

6:17 Sychronoise isn't even usable in scarlet and violet (the only games where tarastalizing is an option), so this move is entirely useless for every Pokémon in those games. Also, sychronoise apparently isn't "extremely powerful" in the games it started in. It only had 70 power in black and white, then getting boosted to 120 in x and y. The second bit isn't a correction I just remembered the power wasn't exceptional and had to look up why I thought that.

Can I be smart? Slakoth and Slaking can learn Solar Beam, but it doesn't work because you charge on the turn you use it and the turn it would do damage the mon is loafing around, so it always fail.

Synchronoise was also indeed removed from the game in gen VIII so no, you cannot Tera it

Now that I think about it, even without Tera (since Synchronoise isn't present in the current gen), Synchronoise Umbreon can deal damage if the opponent has a Ring Target

Fun fact about Zygarde, it's three forms are thought to be based on three of Loki's children from Norse mythology. 10% forme = Fenrir 50% forme = Jörmungandur 100% forme = Hel

Endeavor can be used at full HP.

Oh and here I was thinking "powerful move that won't deal damage" referred to Revival Blessing, which is VERY powerful because it brings a KOd mon back. :P

A lot of people dislike Baxcalibur, actually. Personally, I'm just indifferent to it.

It looks stupid and doesn't feel like it deserves the pseudo legend status. It's signature move looks silly and necessitates either Ice Shard or Protect as well. Personally it isn't comparable to say, Metagross or Kommo-o

If you do another Pokémon trivia video, maybe include this: Question - Without stat buffs nor base stats of the Pokémon but including abilities, what is the highest base power move on what pokemon? Answer - Explosion on alolan golem with galvanize. 250 power for explosion boosted by 20% from galvanize making 300 power. Galvanize affects normal type moves only, turning them into electric moves. A bit of extra information: z-moves would actually lower this move's power, but terasalizing would increase it if the alolan golem's tera type was electric.

@GrandArchPriestOfTheAlgorithm9 ай бұрын
9:36 That's incorrect. Also, not a good question because the answer change based on interpretation of the question. Venusaur & Meganium have the same stats but have Def & Sp.A switched. Blastoise & Feraligatr have the same stats too, with Atk & Sp.D, and HP & Sp.A switched.
@skeletonhunts9 ай бұрын
So they don't have the same stats. The question is if they have identical stats not the same base stat totals so no that is not incorrect.
@GrandArchPriestOfTheAlgorithm9 ай бұрын
@@skeletonhunts I'm standing behind this. They have the same stats, just switched around. Which do make it an potential trick question. So stating; "They Are unrelated. There's no relation to their state on this on." That's just incorrect.
@skeletonhunts9 ай бұрын
@@GrandArchPriestOfTheAlgorithm If they are switched around they are no longer the same stats. That is not an opinion, it is a fact.
@GrandArchPriestOfTheAlgorithm9 ай бұрын
@@skeletonhunts 2 things does not need to be 100% identical for it to be "the same". That term is used with a lot more flexibility.
@MitchFromFBS9 ай бұрын
Mitch here: The question was whether or not the stat lineups are identical to each other like Charizard and Typhlosion's. Venusaur/Meganium and Blastoise/Feraligatr do have the same stat numbers in their pools, but they are allocated differently, thus the answer is that they do not have the same stats. But, I'm glad the question got you thinking!
