I would've answered Guzzlord like Nico did, until I remembered that Guzzlord's dex entry states that it doesn't expel waste period. Scratch that, the waste was never found, not that it doesn't expel at all.

1) I may've been thinking Trevenant, but with clue 2 I'm saying Shiftry. / How could those tiny leaves get mentioned in legends? 2) …Galarian Slowking? No, clue 2 is steering me to Mareanie. / I forgot they had crowns. 3) Alolan Raticate. Or maybe Scrafty. / I got the Dark type right. 4) Musharna, unless Cresselia. If not, then I'd guess Gothitelle. Came out with a perfect score. I actually got Phantump, Gothitelle, and Gengar (though not the Mega specifically) from their first entries even though I don't think I've seen any of those exact passages before. Gothitelle I already knew could see the lifespan of its trainer, so seeing and projecting the end of the universe seemed to be on point for it. Phantump I got because its Pokedex entry in Moon also mentions its leaves can be brewed into a cure-all (but not that they wither instantly). Similar case for Gengar - its regular dex entries for both Sun AND Moon detail how much of a murderous little shit it is. Nothing like the Pokedex telling you "There is no escaping it. Give up". Also, my guess for that first Honchkrow entry was Kingambit and I'm still upset that wasn't correct because that's literally Kingambit's whole gimmick. What do you mean that's NOT the dark-type chess king commanding pawns who benefits from being the last Pokemon out?

The dex entry is supposed to mirror how mob bosses tended to operate in media and reality: The family manhandles the target during interrogation, while the boss just asks the questions and ultimately decides what to do with them. Plus, it wouldn't make sense for Kingambit, if you really think about it - the goons fight, but it doesn't state that they faint, which is what actually relates to its signature ability.

I knew the answer for the Jellicent one (despite also initially jumping on the Dhelmise wagon), but couldn't remember it's name because I couldn't even remember the last time I even thought about Jellicent. Also, my initial answer for Maga Gengar qas Yveltal, because of the whole "taking lives" thing.

12:40 couldn't have been mega Glalie cause he cause he came out in ORAS and by that point Game Freak was already going full steam ahead on their anti mega evolution guilt tripping so Mega Glalie's entry is all about it's jaw being broken, it's in eternal suffering and how it's all your fault and how you're a bastard for liking megas and so on and so forth.

None of the megas have dex entries in XY or ORAS. They only have entries in SM, USUM, and Let's Go. All the megas have the chance for cursed entries. See Alakazam having no muscles or Aerodactyl being irritated from the immense pain of Mega Evolution.

Game Freak wanted players to stop liking megas so they retconned megas from being an extra evolution caused by the trainer and pokemon being extra bonded to the trainer cruelly pushing their pokemon to unnatural levels causing the pokemon excruciating pain.

@@SpiritOfSpite The point he's making is that it wasn't in ORAS, but in gen 7 that they started to justify in-universe the subsequent elimination of the Mega Evolution mechanic from the games. I wanna say it was done to steer people off it in real life, but honestly nobody really stood against the mechanic regardless. ... Which they probably also realized, considering they went back to glorifying the mechanic on the Journeys anime.
