I haven’t finished the interview yet, but just wanted to comment that Haytham wanting to be involved in Eileen healing from PPD is so honorable, and to see it as a family decision I can see how the western world just makes it a mom problem alone, but I really like that he insisted on being involved and on board, although it does seem like a tricky situation I really appreciate it.

I was going through a rough time in life and I remember opening Instagram only to see Eileen share that they've lost their child. It was heartbreaking. I attended one of the dua circle that was held to make dua for them both to ease this trial. Dealing with my own trial at the time and seeing how they handled theirs, was a reminder that everything belongs to Allah. Then the following Ramadan, I had a dream about Eileen and Haytham, and in the dream, Eileen mentioned being pregnant. SubhanAllah, a few days later she announced on Instagram that she wasn't fasting due to pregnancy. To say I was happy for them would be an understatement. Whenever I see a post of Eileen, my mind automatically thinks of making dua to Allah to protect her and her family. Eileen may you continue to shine and may you and your whole family reunite in Jannah.

Thank you for speaking about Postpartum Depression. People should talk about it more often. It’s unfortunate in our society and culture people don’t take it seriously. I went through it for almost 2 years. It took me 2 years to get back to myself. I didn’t know I was going through it until my kid was almost a year. I just had my second kid and I’m dealing with it so much better el hamdulilah.

When Eileen said this minute 21:53 I was very happy that there was a person like me who felt belonging to a virtual place, and then he found belonging in reality. I first heard about eslimah from youtube when she was talking about her journey to Islam and since then I followed her because I thought to myself what a strong women mashallah fast forward to when she announced that she’s pregnant I was literally so excited as if she is my sister and when I first opened instagram and saw the pink picture and reading the caption about the baby passing away I started sobbing and prayed that she’ll be able to handle this huge test and literally kept crying every time I saw anything related to baby sarah, then when haytham had COVID and she was going with so many hardships I literally kept on crying and even talked to my mom about her and how she’s going through so much and how much am worried about her and why this is all happening and its not fair and praying that she’ll have saber to handle all this and then seeing her handling all this and becoming stronger she made me realize the biggest lesson in life that no matter what happens life will go on and that we should have faith and saber and that we have allah by our side no matter how hard the test is.

By far my fav AB Talks episode. I‘ve known Eileen for as long as I can remember. I have in mind the moment where I cried knowing of the stillbirth and knew that she will be handling that the way she would. The whole talk was intense and heart reaching.
