Preparing to sing this at the Grammy Awards is how Josh Groban was "discovered." Andrea Bocelli was going to be too late to attend the rehearsal, so David Foster (the accompanist in this video) got his student to step in at the last minute. The rest, as they say, is history.

I got to see Celine live in 2020 and she sounds incredible in concert. And she did sing the closing credits version of Beauty and the Beast for Beauty and the Beast. And Andrea is an amazing talent. Truly.

I am always reminded of September 11th when I hear this song. It was sung at a special performance a few days after the attack at Yankee Stadium to honor those who were lost that day and a prayer that our country would recover.

There is a version by Celine Dion and Josh Groban which is equally as good. David Foster asked Josh to rehearse with Celine when Andrea Bocelli was delayed coming to the USA. Josh was 17 at the time and this started his career.

My dad sat at a table with Elizabeth Taylor…she really was beautiful…especially her eyes. The color was more lavender than blue…and she was blessed to have a double row of eye lashes.

I like that you react to all sorts of music. If you have never heard "Wonderful World" by Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong you should give it a try. One of the best feel good songs and I think the only vocal performance by him other than "Hello Dolly". He was one of the best jazz trumpeters back in the day but his sincere gravelly voice makes that song a classic.
