One of your better vintage Reel in my humble opinion .

This one is not vintage - it is still sold new. Glad you like the video Bobby. Thanks again - Dennis

Those green Abu's are beautiful IMHO. My twin to this reel, along with a bunch of other toys, was sold last year to finance a fishing trip. I have a two year plan to do the same thing again to fish the British Columbia coast one more time.

Sounds like it was worth it! I'd like to do some NW Pacific fishing too - Best wishes - Dennis

Thank you as always. I was given an extremely dirty one by my father in law, I know it went through a flood several years back and hasn’t been used in 20 years. It hangs up and doesn’t work right. I was just verifying what I learned on your other ambassadeur vids that the assembly and disassembly were the same.

The “Made in Sweden” label tells you it is a good one! This particular Abu is a beautiful reel! I wish I had not sold my Abu Ambassador C7 but I simply could not see well enough to cast it safely and correctly. This is another of the many ways old age is catching up with me. I going to show my ignorance with this question. Does that tensioner piece take the place of what are normally springs in conventional reels? See, I know very little about these magnificent reels. This reel has such a beautiful internal mechanism! Are these reels still sold as new reels from Sweden or are all of them manufactured in China (with a lot of plastic parts)? I’m enjoying all these wonderful conventional reel videos you have been doing recently. You certainly did a very clear and concise tutorial for servicing this superb fishing instrument! - Chris

Yes - the tensioner is an alternative to the yoke springs in other reels. These reels are still sold new and still made in Sweden. They sell for around $150-$200 for this edition. Thanks again Chris

Nice video Dennis. Are the many differences between this one and servicing the 5600AB version?
@2ndChanceTackle Жыл бұрын
Not many. The AB version has the gate that helps to alleviate backlash. The gear side in almost the same. - Dennis

i took off the left side plate. Den, you did not. The problem is there is spring that pooped out and I cant figure out how to reassemble it. You didn't remove the left plate...help :(..do you have other vids where you take off the left side where the mag is shown and re-assembled?

I don't have another video and I no longer have that reel in my shop. The schematic may help you. You can find it by clicking on this link s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/purefishing/Abu%20Garcia/Schematics/5600C5MagX%2016%2001%201128992_12523-1.pdf Dennis
