I bought 4600C4 through ebay. Sadly my reel was a defact one. The seller offer me a refund but i keep the reel hoping i can fix it. The seller admitted he was contacted by other buyer complaining about the reel. It was heavy and sound weird when i cranked it. Not smooth and noisy during casting. After checking few time, i believed the gap between plastic gear on spool and the metal gear on levelwind is too close for the plastic idle gear to spin freely. I tried changing the idle gear with my other abus but no luck.

Nice! But it's strange that my friend went to Cabela's Store in Buffalo, NY and purchased a new Ambassadeur Round Reel and it said "Made in Japan" on it. Now when I purchased my C4 the very first year it came out, it says "Made in Sweden". Just was curious why his would be made in Japan.

John Athanassion Only a few models are still made in Sweden, I think just the 6500 c3s and 6600c4s but i could be mistaken
