Man, I have been a die-hard Abu Garcia guy for 20 years, but I have been trying out new reels, and the KastKing Kapstan 300 and KastKing Rover Black are amazing reels. The Picifun Alijoz 400xs are killer and way cheaper, with a better drag system (35#) than Abu. The 18 lb of drag that Abu has is weak. I still have my Abu, but the reels I bought are on my rods now and not coming off. P.S. Even tried MadKatz Zalt reels; the drag is like Abu Garcia, but they sure do look good on my MadKatz. I did reel in a 44 lb flathead on one already; it did a great job.

@JavierPadron I totally understand. I personally love my shimano reels, for catfishing I like to always have my Cardiff 400 with me. Also like the shimano Tekota's. I have the Rover Black and Alijoz 400, Chaos XS, all solid. But I do like the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur a little better for casting. The other one I've been fulling with is the Whisker Seekers pro 60, it's a clone of the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur, not much cheaper unless you find a discount code but it's pretty nice reel. @@707SonomaComa so far the Kastking it is solid. It does take a little more adjustments to help with backlash but once I got it dialed in it cast great. For the price I believe it can't be beat. But I do love my Abu Garcia Ambassadors

Abu garcia reels are honestly over priced. I own a reel cleaning/ customizing business and its definitely worth upgrading some internals on the abu reels.

@tylerdobbs13 I agree on the prices, I usually try to buy when I can get a discount. We don't have monster cats out here so the stock reels are more then enough for these channels. Thanks
