the "spool tightner " is not for how fast and hard your reeling it's for you to adjust it to the bait your using

As there is a magnetic brake to aid casting the spool should be adjusted so that there is a tiny amount of play. Any tighter and you are putting undue train on bearings and points where the spindle bears on the reel.

We don't we showed you the breaks and lubricated the whole in the middle of all of them, that is where the short end of the spool goes into.
