I know that lake. Is the still a no release for Crappie there?
@ifishcatfish4 жыл бұрын
Not sure this is the same lake. This lake doesn't have a 'no release'. It has a limit for crappie, but nobody catches any. Either way i have released every fish i have caught there, because it is too small and i don't want to hurt the population. It should be a cantch-and-release only lake if u ask me... because there is like 100 people there every day

@Aero7374 жыл бұрын
@@ifishcatfish Jericho has all kinds of fish. I got white crappie, catfish, carp, bass, and panfish from there. Grunwald doesn't have any shore fishing but it's being actively stocked by the ILDNR. Because it's boat only, I'd suspect the fishing would be better than most forest preserve ponds.

Greetings, is your Abu Garcia tubular or solid tip? I did not quite get that from your review. I think Randy said his 67 was tubular... I am always looking for a super sensitive rod for UL jigging as I get my kicks from fish bites just like you do and this rod looks interesting. I have quite a few sul and ul rods some of them JDM and not sure where I would place this one.. it looks like an ex-fast UL ajing rod with super small rings etc but doesn’t perform like one. So far my go-to rod for perching is Xesta TZ tuned s64-s but it is ex-fast and I also enjoy Mukai under-0 series for softer and slower presentations both rods are JDM. You got me curious with this Abu Garcia rod...
@ifishcatfish4 жыл бұрын
did u watch my review of the rod? This is not the review... just some fishing with it. This is a very sensitive rod, but NOT extra fast at all. It is not even fast. It is like medium-fast. It is not a jigging rod, although i use it for jigging only. Watch the review if u interested. Where do u buy those rods u mentioned? I have never even heard of them, never seen them in my jdm sites.. Give me some links
@ifishcatfish4 жыл бұрын
mine is tubular, but the Eradicator has many models. Pay attention. I don't like solid tips any more, for the reasons u mentioned. Just saw this Mukai rod... The Eradicator will have similar action but much better performance, judging just on the fact that it has much thinner blank and much smaller guides and much cleaner handle. But action should be similar, but more sensitive
@my92814 жыл бұрын
@@ifishcatfish thanks for the answer. Yes, I did see your review. Both Mukai and Xesta are popular in Russia among UL fans. How does this rod perform while casting 1/64 jigs. Does it cast far?: does it wobble ?
@ifishcatfish2 жыл бұрын
it will cast them great, provided u use thin line. I would say no more than 0.13mm. However it does wobble just a little bit. Check my Soare XR review if you don't like wobble. That rod will cast 1/64 much easier

Victor. Have you thought about trying the shimano expride ultra light rods from Japan? I know we don't have the ultra light versions here. I have the 7' light+ and 6'10" med light spinning rods. They are pretty nice for the money, especially secondhand prices. Im not sure if the tapers on the ultra light rods will be different since these are mainly bass rods.

Something is going on with youtube again. I see a question from you in my messages, but when i hit reply - the question is gone, and i cannot reply. So i will reply here to your question on casting. The truth is that this rod, like Randy said, casts pretty good. Yes, the micro guides impede casting a little, but i use super thin polyester line that can still pass just fine. However this rod has unique advantage over all my other rods - the blank can actually LOAD UP with 1 gram jig! No other rod loads with 1 gram. When the blank is loaded (compressed) it will assist you on the recoil (decompression) and catapult your jig further, compared to a rod that cannot bend from the jig

I guess it's not the size of the fish in the fight, but the size of the fight in the fish! They are the smallest looking 8 inchers I have seen.

Hi there. I think when fish bite your lure and take line off your reel becose of fight you should not crank the reel becose of line twist ...
@ifishcatfish4 жыл бұрын
I understand the geometry but i have never seen twist in my line. Never. Perhaps it is very little and it untangles during the retrieve. I have thought about it but can't find the reason. There is some process that naturally removes the twist..
