Because he is going to lock one of the kings and capture it with his king, so in the end it will be 2 kings against one king which is a win

I believe these are the Ghanaian rules. In this rule system, the person with the most pieces at the end of the game is the winner. 3 kings vs 2 kings is a winning position for the person with 3 kings. The player only has to trap and capture 1 king to win (2k vs 1K)
