1- cleanse the heart, treat the heart diseases like grudges, envy,anger 2- control desires 3- fasting 3 days of every month and get a reward of fasting the entire year. 4-enter the paradise through a door called Bab- ul- Rayan 5-rises the soul 6-fasting will intercede the person on the day of judgement 7-fasting person is in the act of worship the entire time. 8-the person who fast for the sake of Allah and if he dies the day he fast, he will enter the paradise

May Allah keep blessing you. I truly enjoyed learning about fasting and the meaning.I am new to Islam. I never know when the time to stop fasting. Some say after Asr prayer some say after Migrab prayer. I never know the time to stop fasting. My goodness so I just stop it after isha prayer that is probably all wrong.

You break your fast at the Maghreb or as you called Migrab prayer. Open it with few dates and a cup of water before praying.
