He knows what is good for us and what isn’t so when He makes something haram it is usually because it is bad for us because He doesn’t benefit from it nor get harmed. By giving us free will we are able to do anything we want but we do not know the consequences behind it on a global scale but Allah does so something that may seem good to us may be the cause of the destruction of our society, environment, etc. so when you have the One who had full and completely knowledge of everything why not trust Him.
