Excellent presentation. Thanks to Richard for the information on how the language has been extended and for keeping my 'go to' programming tool alive in the current times. Thanks to ABug for making these videos available.

Thank you Richard for your interesting explanations and your excellent programming tool. I bought a license about 3 years ago and I am very glad I did. At this moment I am planning a diabetic Glycemic Load application which I intend to distribute freely. I programmed the original BBC-B computer in the eighties. But I have to refresh my knowledge severely. Please, keep up the good work! Live long and prosper.

I`ve just found out how to work the *REFRESH. It`s a game changer for smooth screen flow when I`m writing a 2D wire games. I cheered out loud when I got it working. :)

Yes, I remember John Coll (from the Beeb) ringing up ACorn (in Market Hill) and sending them into a spin because Roger (as Sophie Wilson was called in those days) couldn't be found and they needed a copy of their BBC Basic (then running on an Acorn System 3) pronto...

My son gave me a sound bar to go along with my big TV/Monitor. Since it is set up for movie watching, after 10 minutes of no sound, the bar will turn off. A pain to say the least. I grabbed my licensed BBC basic, wrote a quick program to put out a tiny burst of white noise every few minutes, sound version of a mouse wiggler, compiled it to an EXE file and done. Less that 10 minutes start to finish. I love having BBC basic in my tool kit.
