Cape Town is the only city that beat Abuja all mostly due to its natural sceneries. Abuja has beaten the overrated Johannesburg awhile back, even Addis Ababa is better than the South Africa's capital. Nairobi trails Abuja, the commercial building looks old while the residential buildings are not even close. Abidjan and Kigali are worthy beauties to visit on the continent too.

I've been to Cape Town, it's beautiful but not much better than Abuja....CT's beauty is mostly due to its natural ambience- mountains, hills, ocean front. But in terms of city planning, layout, landscaping, scenery etc, Abuja is ahead of most cities in Africa.... Abuja was built from scratch so every structure was planned; not just random construction you have in Lagos and other cities ....

It may be because of the city's beautiful road networks and greenery. I have never seen a better city in terms of green vegetation within its landscape and highbrow residential estates.
