Glad for your reminder that your garden has been a slow process and to enjoy the journey. Inspiring to see where I might be in a few years!

I love the idea of weekly highlights! You're so right, The beginning of June can look so different from the end of June

You and your garden are awesome, I have many of the same berry plants. You have to get a peach tree, they can be a lot better than the ones you get at a supermarket when you let them ripen on the tree.

I love your garden, Angela, I watch your channel all the time! Can you tell me how much space you have in your shade garden for the Elderberries? How many feet do you have on each side of your path? Thanks from Vancouver Island!

I can measure! If I had to estimate I’d say the side garden is 12 ft wide.

Thank you! I was wondering if you give classes? I’m new to gardening and permaculture, and I have enjoyed learning from your videos.

Nice! Can goji berry fruits grow on any canes or only older ones (1 year or more)?

are the bottom of those concord grape leaves white? i know grape leaves can vary quite a bit within one species but those leaves look verrrry similar to those of a thicket of vines that grow very close to me.

How old are your Paw Paws? Mine are 10 years old in Olympia WA and have never flowered and are still less than five feet tall.

Really nice garden. I particularly like the way you have grown plants to a good height and can see how it makes the area productive. Do goumi berries need to be grown on a support or can they do OK without this as well? I have a couple that haven't fruited since I planted them a few years back and assumed it was just because they did not like growing here. Would giving them something to grow on make fruit more likely or would it be better if I moved them to somewhere more sheltered as well? Happy gardening!

Thank you for the inspiration and the reminders that this is a journey ❤️ Do you have a video on recommended permaculture books?

Very inspiring! Thank you! Just wondering why you said you wished your persimmon was planted elsewhere? Is it too close to the coop?

Oh I should have elaborated. It’s such a beautiful tree, especially in the fall. I wish I hadn’t stuck it way in the back corner of the garden. I wish I’d put it in the front yard!

How big do thimble berries get? How much work do they require to keep them under control? I'd love to have them.
@ParkrosePermaculture3 жыл бұрын
They get maybe five feet tall. They spread slowly and are easy to pull up if they come up where you don’t want them. They’re one of the most low maintenance plants in my garden.
@melissamybubbles61393 жыл бұрын
@@ParkrosePermaculture Thank you. How wide are they?
@ParkrosePermaculture3 жыл бұрын
They spread slowly to form a thicket. So you control the size of the parch. Each plant is only a few canes initially

YOU MENTIONED CEDAR APPLE RUST, DO YOU KNOW HOW CEDAR APPLE RUST DEVELOPS AND IF THERE ARE ANY WAYS TO STOP IT OR SLOW IT DOWN ?

Where I live it is just endemic in the landscape. Pruning for good air circulation helps reduce the likelihood of it setting up shop but it is everywhere. I typically get a little bit on some of my plants and I just prune that part off. In my experience making sure the soil is really healthy and the plant is as strong as possible helps it to resist an overwhelming infestation so that I get the end of one branch or I get one or two fruits that have it and I can just cut them off. But it is everywhere where I live so I can’t get rid of it completely
