Abune Yemata Guh, Ethiopia | While in Africa

A 6th Century rock-hewn church on top of the Gheralta mountains, in Northern Ethiopia. This is the most famous church in the area with all the paintings being original from the time of establishment.
To visit this site, you have to hike for about an hour climbing through sheer rock walls and passing through edges. Definitely not for the faint-hearted!
