@iDiffusionx sure thing! Basically you want as much crit rate as possible. Biting, reavers ring, grim optional but makes kills smoother, or you can use pulse cores or something in your pocket slot. I also used the Corbicula Rex perk in ranch out of time. I set up a revo++bar that has meteor, zerk, cleave, chaos roar, hurricane, quake and then some filler basics like sever, fury, etc on it. Get 120 adren (vestments of havoc) and on place your dummies. Target one of the side ones, and meteor will go off, adren renewal, then target the middle one for when revo activates cleave. Every crit will generate 10% adrenaline because of the meteor strike buff. If you crit enough, zerk will be next, if not chaos roar will, then zerk. Basically you mash the dragon halberd EOF and let cleave go off if you drop below the 27.5 adren required for it. If you're not Critting at all, you can limitless and let hurricane and quake go off too. Hope this helps. It's much more relaxed than doing trash runs and trying to keep up with Basier, the other fella who was carrying us in the video! 😜 Edit: it's worth mentioning that you don't NEED everything I mentioned. I'm certain you'll do fine if you're missing chaos roar or don't have vestments or whatevs. It'll just be a little slower. You got this and happy gains!

I will add it to the list of content that existed for years, but I never got to experience - sure, it will still exist, but not in the form that most players will remember. It seems to be a reoccurring theme for a returned player - experiencing the content differently to the rest of the community. That's what happens when you modify content many years after its introduction. This ED with an FSOA is an experience in this game that I will never be able to have... and it looks like many found it fun, and rewarding.

when doing this its probably a decent idea to take smoke devil familiars with auto fire set to 1. i was getting about an extra 76k mage and 26k constituion on solo runs up to the zombies (no bossy). rates are no bonus xp other than dxp run 1 with familiar: 209k str, 94.3k constituion, 76.2k mage run 2 without familiar: 205k str, 67.8k constitution, 0 mage im not sure if setting your mage xp to defence will make familiars give defence xp, but now that ive thought about it im checking lol

Solo with TMW and augmented Scythe, Souls ammy, ASR, Scrim of Sacrifice, Penance SS, and Abby alloyed spikes here I am getting 3-4m non-Constitution xp/hr. I actually skip going over the mast, killing the zombies, then teleporting out with the chest. After killing the zombies (and Bossy if he's around) I tele to Wars Retreat and surge to my ED3 portal instead. Sure I lose out on those last zombies across the mast but they aren't much xp and I'd rather spend that time on other parts of ED3 for better xp/hr

Yes (for now). Invention item xp is scaled from combat xp, so while ED3 combat rates are huge, it gives really good item xp as well. Item xp is 1.5x on a Double XP event like this week rather than 2x, but it's still the best time and method to level Invention

I can't really recognize the animations since I'm watching this on my small phone screen, but my guess would be that he is spamming his Eof which contains either a dragon 2h sword or dragon halberd. Both deal AOE Damage and the scythe additionally increases the range. And since he previously activated Meteor Strike, he constantly gets his adrenaline back from the crits.

It's a dragon hally EoF. Meteor buff keeps the adren up, and you can camp next to the crystal for more adren to ult, or next to the altar of war to refresh ability cooldowns.

I have seen literally nobody lament that ED3 is going away. Everyone aknowledges that it is broken. What people are upset about is that all combat xp for every monster in the game is being severely nerfed, that especially hurts lower-leveled players. For example take bloodvelds, a monster Jagex gave as an example of the nerfs, they will double its HP and keep the XP the same. It was not a great slayer task to begin with, it has garbage drops and bad xp. Now they're literally halving both the combat and xp rate/hour. Don't try to tell me bloodvelds gave overpowered combat XP!

Low to mid level combat training will be a massive slog, I'm talking about near-OS levels. No we won’t be anywhere near OSRS levels. We will literally still be 5x faster than OSRS, that’s how absurdly out of balance the current exp baseline is that we are 20x faster than OSRS to point it actively hurts the game. Redoing the exp system to one that isn’t a logistical nightmare on the code end and pulls us back from some of the absurdly over fast exp creep we have is a net good for the game’s health and long over due.

@@exantiuse497 near-OS levels is a stretch, we're still multiple times faster than that post-nerf. The best way to train early game combat is to just do quests for it anyway; necromancy will be the exception there, but it's also the new skill. They had to do this - the race to 120 will be pretty short if people can knock back 4-6 million exp an hour for necromancy like they can (for now) with the other combat styles. The nerfs also encourage you to actually engage with the game you're playing. Running ED3 for a few hours to hit 99 doesn't do that in any meaningful way. The broader nerfs also unintentionally hurt your understanding of how the combat abilities actually work - you blitz through the levels so fast right now that you have no idea how anything really works, or what abilities combo into each other.

That's Jagex for you. People are legitimately holding off on buying PVM upgrades because theh fear Jagex will nerf them which will then cause them to crash in value, even years after they were released. I understand why ED3 needs to be nerfed, but the combat xp rebalancing is nerfing the whole game and that to me is just illogical, as a returning player I'm just bewildered this went on this long, Four years is crazy, it should've been nerfed by 2020. I really think they should reconsider changing the way combat xp works though, retuning to an OSRS style combat xp system is not going to be very fun.

My thoughts exactly. I don't want the OS meta of AFKing rock crabs or whatever else braindead content for 200 hours to max out a combat skill. Higher level monsters should give better xp independent of their lifepoint value And it's definitely very frustrating that Jagex keeps promising that OP content X is fine and won't be changed, only to then change it anyways after years. You can't trust their word, you can't upgrade your gear without fearing its nerf will be announced next week, and it creates resentment in players (new and returning) who didn't get to use the overpowered content while others had years to abuse it.

There are numerous factors you aren’t considering at all if you think the OSRS meta is coming back. Just for starters hit chance is much higher in RS3 by vast amounts that getting 100% hit chance is not hard, and that’s before we take into account they want to remove hit chance entirely. Then you mix that with our vastly higher DPS especially in the AoE options and we have much higher damage and kills per hour than OSRS can even dream of. That’s not even including that even with the nerf the base rates are still going to be 5x faster than OSRS by default just going by the math. I promise you won’t see a return to stuff like rock crab meta, low defense was the reason rock crabs mattered and that’s really not a factor in RS3. Hell by default pretty much any undead mob will be better by a large amount especially if you wear the salve ammy. A lot of people might ignorantly rush rock crabs though until they realize the mistake of their presumptions.

Considering most the player base is endgame on rs3 it makes hardly Any sense to nerf xp rates. Nobody wants to spend hours and hours maxing a new skill like it’s osrs.

No, most are going to give a lot less. As Protoxx said it's 500xp per 10k health, but for bosses it will be half that, so 250xp per 10k health.

This blanket combat xp nerf is probably the dumbest thing jagex has done in recent years, and that's a hard achievement to meet. It is just a giant fuck you to any new-coming players. I really never had an issue with combat being fast in RS3. Max combat is essentially mandatory for the majority of combat related content in the game. Making the grind a massive slog is definitely NOT the move. This is honestly going to hurt the game imo. Nerfing ED3 is understandable, but nuking the entire game... to perhaps promote more mtx... questionable at best.

Thank you for this video, completely forgot about combat in my grind for invention, still managed to get atk, str, def, and con, from 90 - 99 in roughly 10 hours during this dxp and now working on magic and range. Super helpful reminder 😄😄😄

It's really not healthy that new players can ED3 to 90s in combat in so little time with friends or random helpers and then have no idea how to play the game, boss or slayer. I've had to spend a lot of time helping people like this.

Yes. Combat skills stop at 99 and the rest of the levels are just virtual. Some non combat skills do go past 120 though.
