@@W15Garage yes mate!would like to see more detailed videos😉did valve cover gasket seal replacement on mine f30 320d and for me this was nightmare until I got off cover because of these cables😂until I find information how get off…otherwise very good explanation I will keep watching you!keep it up🤘🏻

When the cams look gunked like that you know the previous owner skimped out on the servicing. Beemer engines don't tend to take prisoners under such treatment. Loving the content keep em coming :D. Best of luck cleaning that lump lol you have your work cut out lol. 100% the owner to blame. Did the hydro lock affect the cylinder1 rod bearings?

I agree with the previous comment. You were not lucky with this car. Owner neglected and it was also flooded, what can you do it to use a lot ( and I mean a lot ) of break cleaner to take out that gunk. I would personally take out the engine and also clean the EGR and check the turbo for play. Also clean the intake maifold. All of this will leave it with a good shine but if the surfaces are scored then there isn't worth the repair. I would source whatever parts you can and go from there if the situation asks it. Thanks for watching!! Engine comes out this time. Turbo shaft is ok, the cleaning process will be a long process, as I’m planning to do it thoroughly. I’m determined to get this car back on the road!

That's a real mess. I did a BMW last year and that had spun a main and a big end bearing, It needed a replacement block and crankshaft. He valve train was a bit of a mess, but nothing like yours. The car I repaired only had 80000 miles on it.

I didn’t find any particles in the oil filter, hopefully the bottom end is fine. The cleaning process will be a pain that’s for sure

Could you not sorce & replace the bent valves yourself ?? - or is ther further damage to the head - broken valve guides etc ?? - found your channel by accident and cant stop watching Keep up the good work

Hey man, love this series. I just bought a car as a project that has the same exact problem as yours, cylinder No.2 sits slightly lower than 3 so bent connectiing rod for sure. will be great if i can DM you to get more of your thoughts on your fix.

Hi, thanks for watching! I would recommend checking all the rod bearings and oil sprayer nozzles. I’ve not had the best experiences with water damaged engines unfortunately, a straight engine swap would be best as there may be a lot of unseen damage lurking there.

Even if you rebuilt it far too much solidified oil probably in the galleries etc. would it not be better to source a decent second hand engine, there must be enough of them around.
