Damn one more second and you had it, when the boss goes under water he puts up 4 tentacles on the 4 corners you have to defeat them first unfortunately you were too far for a couple of your wands to hit 2 of them so it took a bit longer. The swords spin around you and when an enemy gets close the launch out and do a decent chunk of damage. The evolution of the Pillars makes them stomp so having them spinning would cause them to stomp as they spin around you, the damage they do i think is based on their health so coupled with trolls blood can be very effective.

I just remembered while watching if you use the duplication potion in the shop it duplicates the items on the pedestals (health, shield, and keys) and drops them on the ground to pick up without purchasing and then you can still buy the items as well. Also i think you know this or mentioned it before but discount potions work in the "devil deal" room to make them cost less max health.
