Love the conversation, and glad this topic is discussed. Though I'm aware of much of this, not everyone is, so your explanations are clear and concise; fantastic! For me, I love using either my hybrid wireless/wired T+A Solitaire T, in Bluetooth wireless mode, or in passive balanced mode with my FiiO M17. The latter digital audio player was chosen as my desktop audio replacement, and great to transport to the office too. With a separate battery power* that can deliver 12v in DC out, and my M17 set to DC input, I'm not limited by power for daily use. I wish other DAP's or DAC/amps would have such an option to bypass internal battery, so we are not current limiting our devices (such as the FiiO M17 and FiiO Q7 respectively)! Sure, dongles can be great, with iBasso and FiiO having some attractive options, but battery power or power limitations are just as important considerations as are the manufacturers' spec (if these are truthful of course). It's one area of topic some new, or even well dug in, audiophiles can easily forget, so thank you for discussing this with great explanations! *Shargeek Storm2 with 25,600mAh and 100W output; now known as Sharge Shargeek 100. Can go from 0.1V to max 24.0V, with 0.1V or 1.0V adjustment!

@@SpiritualPsychotherapyServices it's great, has a nice useful display that's very reminiscent of Star Trek LCARS operating system, and very configurable. It's probably the most feature rich and compact battery design I've used, but with bonus transparency to the internals too! Of course there are cheaper alternative batteries, but few of this size, features, and DC user variable output.
