Thanks for the support on Headphones with different tuning choices. I did my best to advertise it as that, so most people shouldn't be confused when they get it and it sounds different from everything else they have heard.

I agree. Fun. I have more than one pair, so I can hear music in a number of ways. But I also want headphones that are portable for travel and secure for exercise. We are living in a good time for audio.

My recent experience in the audiophile world (online) has very much been that your opinions are wrong if they don't meet certain objective standards. If you don't like this curve or EQ the living daylights out of your new headphones to this specific graph, you are wrong and you should be ashamed. It absolutely becomes an echo chamber. A simple review where they show the headphone's objective performance and explain why it subjectively isn't to their (and perhaps the viewers') tastes would have been much better.

Wish there were places to try stuff. Im suspicious that part of the reason high end headphones have been exploding in popularity is less to do with cost barrier to entre.... this is audio, we kinda know what that means. It's the info barrier. I can try and return near endlessly to Amazon and choose from dozens of reviewers with plenty of content to dial in on some like kind and quality of taste to aim your purchase decisions. I find that reviews on high end speakers are thin, and returning some speakers can be expensive. For the limitations headphones have, they are marginally more approachable

For me, I basically enjoy having different sound signatures and tech for my headphones because I listen to different genres of music, so what works for classic music often doesn’t work for most of the local South African music.

Thank you for making this video! People need to realize music listening should be FUN!!! You shouldn’t have to look at a frequency graph and be like, this isn’t a good headphone. Some people, like myself, love variety. Give me a little bit of EVERYTHING. DMS recently knocked the new Final Audio D7000 pretty hard and they honestly sound amazing. The more you listen to them, the more I wanna go back to them when I’m done. Even with the ZMF Atriums I’m the same way. Zach adds flavor to his headphones. Not ideal for someone seeking perfect, but doesn’t mean they aren’t great. Anywho, great video. Keep producing outstanding products!!!

Eric is right... companies should put in more effort to educate the market about what they are doing... invariably the best customers are the most knowledgeable ones because they get what the company is trying to do and they appreciate the expertise

That’s really the main issue I have here, not a single place anywhere near to demo headphones so I don’t know exactly what other things i may be looking for, only one type that covers my main use case.

I just want some headhones to listen to general youtube videos in our lounge so that my g/f can watch the tv I find that Blue tooth ones are far too much hassle, getting them to connect and run out of battery. Then I bought a wired one and the thin wire became broken and the sound kept cutting out. The wires are so thin, that you cannot repair them (I Tried)

Radio Shack carries Bowers & Wilkins. B&W goes to fomites that aren’t even places yet. As for Zeos, he knows what he is doing and he won’t lose any sales by dint of a bad review from a channel that maybe didn’t love your headphones so much either.
@ABYSSHeadphones2 ай бұрын
Radio Shack has been relegated to a janky website, high-end brands like Bowers & Wilkins will never be found there. Agreed, Zeos knows what he's doing, he has excellent street smarts.

@@ABYSSHeadphones Don’t underestimate B&W’s market penetration. I bought a Zeppelin at The Source back in 2016. No doubt they are already on Mars but we just haven’t noticed.

Dealers have ALL died in my area. I visited the last one and bought a Klipsch RP-250C days before they closed. What they told me is that they are closing due to customers coming in, listening to their systems, and then purchasing off of amazon. This has been solved with TV's and computer parts for decades. have a regulated MSRP. you can only sell at one price. however it is worse for the consumer. Direct to the consumer should not be cheaper than the dealer if the dealer works in high enough volume. I think dealers could be Revitalized if they advertised super simple and cheep alternatives to soundbars. without question an integrated amp for $70 and a pair of monitors for $100 has better sound than any soundbar below $500. If dealers tried to beat walmart, i think they really could win. they just have to be selective on their product, the same way costco is.

Amazon would need to setup listening spaces that act like a dealer would. So you can just buy it online and that store gets to exist as part of it. But then Amazon would need all the Niche brands

The arbiters of graphs and sound congratulate each other in an echo chamber of audiophile snobbery, holding each other’s hands and private parts on the quest to achieve the holy grail of mid. “Ohhh, you hear that discrepancy in how that guitar string doesn’t sound exactly like a guitar string in this headphone? You have good taste like me.” 😂❤
@ConsecDesign2 ай бұрын
buddy... some headphones DO in fact sound bad. and not in a "Modern Retro" or "HE-R9" fun kind of way. some just sound bad, measurements aside.
@anthonyharding43802 ай бұрын
@@ConsecDesign I agree. The challenge with this hobby, it seems, is there is a spectrum of what is considered pleasing or downright bad. The analogy I would use is a chef who only likes a fillet steak that's well-done. He may choose to maximise his toolkit to achieve the ultimate well-done steak. If a steak is presented that is medium-rare it's upsetting, it's too pink in the middle or too much blood in the sauce etc. Most may agree that a cold raw steak is considered bad, but not 100% of the population would agree on this either. Zeos has constructed a steak to his liking, and is offering it to the world to see if they enjoy it too. In this comparison, he knows it's not a well-done steak. The content of this video is conveying this message as well. So is the steak raw? Is it blue? You wont know if you like it until you try it. It seems many people are enjoying these headphones, knowing it is different. In this instance they gave it a go, and they spat it out and laughed. What I don't appreciate is the gatekeeping of what is considered good or bad sounding on full display. Yesterday on a headphones .com livestream the disdain for the Eris expressed by the creators was depressing to hear. Both hosts vehemently argued that this product was not fit for purpose and it shouldn't exist. Commenters in their review video (where the negativity was was restrained from what they really wanted to say - confirmed by the creators in yesterdays livestream) also mentioned they didn't appreciate the smugness and belittlement of Zeos creation. It seems to be the Eris is like the marmite of headphones (a food in the UK which is loved or hated, and rarely ever in-between.)

@ABYSSHeadphones People "Eating With Their Eyes" is everywhere these days. Why use the sense that the experience is not intended for? The other Problem is that Reviewers have become a kind of "Priest Class" in which notoriety is the only qualification. Much of the time with not even having the technical BG to understand the principles behind Audio Reproduction. Then everything can be skewed by "Price Category" and they forget what HIFI actually MEANS - the youtube reviewers think "HiFi" is a price level! its not even about FIDELITY any longer - just compare it top stuff that costs the same, AND overcharge the HELL out of ppl for $3 resistors, $13 Capacitors, & $4 OpAmps in a pretty Chassis! Its becoming a bit of a Grift by folks with no working knowledge of Audio, Zero Musical Background or training, and that are absent of ANY understanding of Manufacturing & Production. When you get into watching reviews where the reviewers dont know that a transducer is Current Limited because "Sources Don't Matter" (really dude???) but are telling people that a HP is "Mid" because of their Ignorance they are messing with people's livelyhood at that point. The Idiocracy/D.K. Effect is REAL really real in this space.
