In this video I do a live demonstration to show the accuracy and speed of using the Loadpro to find a circuit fault in a Ac Clutch wiring harness.

this vid should be on the top of the LOADPRO Videos.

+Schrodinger's Box Quantum Mekanix Thanks Matt. I think you'll enjoy my other videos too. Anyway, if you want to put a link to my channel on your Loadpro review go right ahead. Any questions on the Loadpro let me know plus their are some other methods of testing you can do with it. Give me a shout when you get time and I can go over it with you. As always Matt, great job on your channels.

Thanks for all the comments so far everybody, more videos are coming, hopefully I will have the go pro camera operational next time.

Hi Stuz, yes last month's therapy was pretty cool. I'm hoping to present this coming therapy if I have time. Thanks for the reply.

Looking forward to it as I'm sure you'll have some interesting stuff to talk about.

Good demo of showing the LoadPro. I believe people would be convinced with this demonstration to illustrate corrosion in a circuit. Oh, just watched the group therapy session for August on AutoNerdz. Pretty interesting case studies with the VVT and crank sensor reluctor, eh. Take care...

Good demonstration on load pro . I mentioned to Dan that he should show real case studies and fixes. I have yet seen any vids detecting high corrosion . In three years of owning the tool I have only found high resistance with the tool on trailer light circuits. I really don't find high resistances very often displaying system voltage do you ?

Steve Rob Hi Steve. I have the LoadPro too and although it's a slick too and does work, I've yet to find anything with it either. And I agree that Dan should do some actual case studies with the tool instead of a lot of theory of how the tool works.

Hi Terry I test all kinds of things that work and not work and I rarely see system voltage with high corrosion , it works or works slow or as in a bulb , dim. We all know there's a connection problem or corrosion . Almost everything is led now so testing the old bulbs circuits are rare. We have calcium chloride sprayed on the roads and salt up here and still corrosion is not the first thing I think of with a circuit fault. Great idea too bad we can't find a fault to use it on. I just back probe the wire under load to find a voltage drop. I got toolboxes full of great ideas I seem to never use. LOL

I'm sure Steve that I haven't used the LoadPro as much as you have. I used it a few times but in those cases, there wasn't a corrosion problem. I have thought that maybe it would work good with loose terminals in connections, but I'll just stab across the wires by back probing and then wiggle the harness/connector looking for a drop-out. So, in a case like this I don't think it would be that effective in looking for bad connections as such. As you and I have mentioned, it's a good idea, but in the real world, how often do you find corrosion. Probably under the car, like around the fuel pump, evap components, etc. And with all the corrosion that you guys get and not finding corrosion issues, it may be hard to justify the tool. Maybe busjockey1 can give us some of his insights since he works on vehicles everyday for a living. I'm sure he could straighten us both out what he finds out there and how useful the tool really is. Take care Steve...

Mr. Brawley, feedback is always appreciated and so is constructive criticism, but I don't sense either of them in your comment. Your comment sounds like it's from a Monday morning quarterback.

You can also go to the circuit you testing, put the ground side of the meter in the postive pin on the said connector and then put the postive lead of the meter to postive battery voltage and check you voltage drop that way. Load pro is nice, but not needed.
@trainer20188 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I understand how to use a Voltmeter to check potential difference in a wire, I'm just showing that this tool is a time saver. Sometimes it is real hard to backprobe a wire. This makes it easy.

You're entirely missing the point of the LoadPro.

ha ha i guessed you had tampered with the fuses, but i watched with a diagnostic mind. Ive had fuses playup in that way, some cars have the fusebox inside and under the dashboard, if the car has a leaky windscreen then guess where the water goes :-).
@05clenharth8 жыл бұрын
Classic Merc Sprinter problem when you spill coffee in the cup holder guess where it goes, straight in to the main fuse board
@zx8401ztv8 жыл бұрын
At least the fusebox is fully awake lol :-D

Can you test and load fuses? Do you have to remove the (load) ie. a module?

So no Ghost Voltage or True Zero being that it was not a short to ground or an open circuit? Good stuff.
@trainer20189 жыл бұрын
Yes so if you have no ghost voltage and you do not have zero volts you just ruled out opens and shorts to ground. So if you see full system voltage you then push the Load Pro button and see if the circuit can carry a load.

Hey busjockey if the a/c circuit runs on lets say 1.5 amps . And your tool tests for 40ma to the circuit then how can u be sure the circuit is good if u didnt test the circuit to its actuall amperage it runs on ? I dont understand that part , can u do this test on a starter system ? Will the big amp draw have a different result then a small amp draw ? Ask schrodihger to help us answer this i dont seem to understand !!!??🤔

I have the reverse issue AC will not go off,,, have to pull plug on pump which drops clutch out but as soon as you connect it up it engages Ive changed control unit and Relay still the same I am thinking its taking a perm ign feed from somewhere else but have not had time to trace as yet,,, I have a load pro but cant see hoe it can help me in this situation
@trainer20184 жыл бұрын
You might have a short to voltage or a input that turns on the clutch is staying on all the time. Go to your ac clutch relay and see if the control side is staying grounded. Do you have a multimeter?

Corrosion is one type of problem burnt mechanical switch contacts is also a fault and can cause an intermittent problem
@bobbrawley44669 жыл бұрын
You could of explained it better by having the video camera point to where the Load pro and the neg probe is attached . Then later you explain that to determine whether the corrosion is in the positive wire or the ground wire you say attach the neg. probe to a good ground. and you show a red alligator clip attached to a battery terminal . Your video shots are all over the place not particularly on the explained subject
