Grateful Dead - Hard to Handle next! (From the album Ladies and Gentleman The Grateful Dead?
@zoso28503 жыл бұрын
This song is about a venereal disease - "The Jack" is Australian slang for Gonorrhea, which is also known as "The Clap." AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott explained the origin of the song in a 1976 interview with Sounds. Said Scott: "We were living with this houseful of ladies who were all very friendly and everyone in the band had got the jack. So we wrote this song and the first time we did it on stage they were all in the front row with no idea what was goin' to happen. When it came to repeatin' 'She's got the jack' I pointed at them one after another." Added guitarist Angus Young: "After that, wherever we did the song the girls in the audience would run to the back of the hall."

I agree -- Bon brings a saucy, droll humor to his delivery that elevates the song -- and I was a little worried when I saw this was gonna be a recent live performance, but Brian is giving a lot more vocally than I think I've heard him do before, so, imo, it's not too bad, all things consider.

Man people hate on Brian Johnson to much imo. While Bon Scott is the best and better imo, weve never heard Bon sing black in black or rock and roll aint noise pollution either. Pretty goddamn big shoes to fill and Brian fills them pretty damn full I think..

@@andrewmccallum9943 I never hated on Brian. He's amazing. Just preferred Bon. Too bad he choked on his vomit when he passed out in the car.

@@gerryconwayvoice very terrible tragedy, like Ronnie can zant in the plane crash, SRV In the helicopter, Duane allman on the motorcycle, jimi and his drugs, Rory Gallagher and his botched surgery. Man we’ve lost some awesome guitar players way to soon imo

No question, and no offense to Brian Johnson, but Bon Scott era AC/DC blows away the later version...live, or studio...

I saw AC/DC in Memphis Tennessee. Electric! Angus showed you what the Jack was. It was a woman who played with a man's soul because she had something up her sleeve.

One of my faves. I just love bluesy music. Loved seeing Jamels shoulder dancing tonight 😍💃🦘

I love music that is at the edge of blues and rock. Meaning it could be both. AC/DC and ZZ Top are some of the best at this.

1980...Brian Johnson held the mike down to me so I could sing "JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK..." and said, "That's fucking good!" I was 12.
