One of best rhythm sections in rock history period. “Too Much “ which is the next selection from “Highway To Hell “ which is Bon Scott ( the lead vocalist) last effort before his passing proves my point. Baby girl! Malcolm the guy in the back standing still. is the sound of acdc. Angus just goes crazy and adds his bits. Bon Scott was the best voice of acdc hands down. Anything off of powerage is where to go, best album by them imo.
@howielowis4584 жыл бұрын
@David Fuller he didn't say anything about writing tho. He was talking about the sound. Malcolm builds the flow and drive of the music together with the bass and drums. They are the backbone, the skeleton of the band that works like an atomic clock. They role out the carpet for Bon and Angus to do their thing. Generally speaking THAT is the part a lot of bands don't get right, not the solos, or the vocals, no, it's the rythym section. And while i personally also tend to focus a lot more on what Angus does (which is the bands intention), i bet you if you'd ask Angus himself he would tell you that his brother had the more important job on stage.
@bmriverrat114 жыл бұрын
@David Fuller Angus himself when getting complimented for being one of the best guitarist would often say "I'm not even the best guitarist in the band"
@Alpha_72274 жыл бұрын
@David Fuller I think you are dead right in what your saying and just to prove it with this new album coming up, they are sorting through Malcolms demos and songs which didn't quite make it on an album and Angus will sort them out and bring them to life.

@@tiffanyforbes2703 I don't take anything away from Brian Johnson. He kept the band alive and in the process wrote/co wrote some of the bands most endearing songs. It all comes down to preference and for me it will always be Bon Scott. In Brian Johnson's defense though, I am a singer myself and I can do many Bon Scott songs, But I have a very tough time doing any of the Brian Johnson era songs.

I love that you picked a song like this to comment on. But I also want to comment on something you said. I understand that people love Angus, hell, he is the most original lead guitarist out there. But.. Malcolm, his brother on rhythm guitar, he was the genius of the band, and the band leader. Malcolm lays down the basis for the song, and Angus puts the icing on the cake! This is not meant to put down Angus in any way, I'm just giving Malcolm the praise he deserves. R.I.P. to the riffmaster!
