@MBString Very good, that you mentioned this: first: Yes my Filtertron is very close to the strings, second: The filtertron has a high Output, and third: I have the input-controller set to a value that the input-level just not comes in the red range, when I hit the strings as hard as I can :) But if this is still too clean for you, just set the gain on the amp-Settings to a value which sounds better =) Greetings! =)

@guitaristacdczztop I think the signature is a very good guitar (as its a REAL Semi-Hollow) thats what I miss with my guitar: its more a solid than a holow one ;) 11s string gauge is a good way between fat sound and easy playing :) I use them myself (D'Darrio) You might try a string-set with a wounded G-String! In my opinion it sounds much smother when playing powerchords :) Greetings!! =)

@snookerkingexe awesome video! Thank you!. I'm a total noob and I was trying to play this and make it sound remotely like it should for quite a while. What happens in the main riff is a little too much for me, I can't figure out exactly the order of dead notes, mutes and chords to write a good tab that I can practice with. For others interested, the main riff starts at 6:35. I downloaded the video set in on repeat and didn't really figure out the order properly, but the main order is: e|------------------------------ B|-------------7--------------- G|-10--9---8----9---10--- D|-11--9--10---9---11--- A|-11--9---9----9---11--- E|-9----9---------9----9---- Thanks again for making this!
@snookerkingexe6 жыл бұрын
Keep it up! It will come natural to you very fast, if you dont give up! :) Just a note: The F# Powerchord of your notation (first and last chord) should be played like this to let it sound more like the original: e|----- B|---- G|-11 D|-11 A|-9 E|-9 Greetings! :)

Hi there. Great video! Would you mind divulging wich type of filtertron you have in that Gretsch in order to get that Mal Sound? Powertron, DVjones vintage, Gretsch vintage?... I don't know which one is best suited. Thanks.
@snookerkingexe4 жыл бұрын
Hey Benjamin! In this Guitar I use a Standard Gretsch-Filtertron (No TV Jones Or HotWired, or whatever there is) Of course its up to you If you like their sound, maybe a TV Jones gets you a more Modern/Aggressive Sound, you might like ... so I would strongly recommend testing a guitar, with the pickups you want, before pimping your own one :) Greetings!
@benjaminnielsen42884 жыл бұрын
@@snookerkingexe Thanks for the reply. Good idea to test one. I put a filtertron in my pro jet and sounds very cool. But I need one now for my Korean Dou-Jet Firebird. Apparently the new MY signature module has the TV powertron, but I've read that it doesn't represent the true classic sound. Maybe I'll stick with a classic G-Filtertron. Thanks again dude. Rock on!
