If you know anything about AC/DC or Brian Johnson you can clearly know he wrote the lyrics to you shook me all night long, comparing women to cars, that's Brian right there, he loves 'em both equally.
@ronnieDshman185 жыл бұрын
I would agree parts of it were certainly written by Johnson, but there's definitely a few lines that scream Scott. Weather it was Johnson trying to continue the former singer's style to help the band transition to his own or he was stealing Scott's lyrics, we'll probably never know.

Bon Scott was in band called Fraternity (which later changed the name to Fang) before AC/DC. The band toured Britain with Geordie. Bon saw the Geordie-singer, by the name of Brian Johnson, carry the guitarplayer on his shoulders on stage. He took that act to his next band... and the rest is history. True story.
@pbf989 жыл бұрын
And here I thought Brian carried Angus around because Bon did it.. I had heard that Bon saw Geordie, but did not know when or that they were touring alongside each other.

I think Bon was responsible for at least 1/2 the songs on BNB. They were already working on the album when he died. I've heard a version of You Shook Me All Night long with Bon singing it. It used to be on KZbin but it was taken down.
@ronnieDshman185 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 100%, however that song wasnt real. Any recording of scott singing it was definitely destroyed by the band or producers for money (sadly).

Nick Damjanoff Bon DID write a few tunes on Back in Black - they were working on the album when he suddenly died. Songs that likely were written by Bon include "Let Me Put My Love into You", "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", "Shoot to Thrill", "You Shook Me All Night Long" and "Have a Drink on Me". AC/DC denies this as they wanted to make a clean break with the new vocalist, Brian Johnson. But BON'S ESTATE STILL RECIEVES ROYALTIES for BIB, but the band continues to deny his involvement. Why would he get royalties from BIB, if he didn't write on it? Perhaps some day the truth will be told, but any true Bon fan can recognize the difference between his writing and Brian's. The week he died, they were in the studio working on tracks for the new album. Their last session with Bon, had him playing drums on Have a Drink on Me and singing vocals at the same time, while Malcolm and Angus played bass and guitar. It is a known fact that Malcolm didn't like Bon due to his party lifestyle (sources: AC/DC - Maximum Rock n Roll & Highway to Hell - the True Story of AC/DC Frontman Bon Scott). They actually had a plan in the works to replace Bon should he either die, or should his reckless lifestyle hold back the band's rise to fame. Rock on, Oi Oi Oi! From Canada. Cheers, mate.

I always had a strong feeling that Back in Black was heavily Bon Scott's baby. I mean right after BIB, AC/DC just didn't keep up with the strength of the songs. For those about to rock really pissed a lot of fans off at the time, most what I heard was it was too slow and the songs just lacked energy and hook. Then with flick, it just kept getting worse. Not until who made who did they kinda comeback, then with blow up your video, people just didn't care for. So, I do believe that bon scott was more apart of Back in Black than we will ever know.
@ImperialRadioYT8 жыл бұрын
it's "laughable" and "my stupidity shows". THOSE are be-littling comments. fuck you. I love Bon Scott; he's the greatest there ever was. but just cause he's the original and now dead, everyone gives him this in-sane amount of credit. have fuckin HEARD For Those About To Rock? or your prescious Back In Black? those fuckin words are in-sane. Bon sometimes gets a little old with everything being sex ex-cluding some songs of course. and my opinion about mutt isn't laughable. a producer doesn't make the band - evident in AC/DC's early years and success, with The Great Vanda & Young. and the moajority, fuck-wadd, only knows T.N.T. and Thunderstruck anyway, so who cares about them. and sales doesn't guarantee greatness you know. "gold", so what? that's to say Michael Jackson is better than your prescious Bon cause HE sold more. no, he's not, you fool. sales don't make greatness. Powerage and Let There Be Rock are way better than Highway To Hell, but sales won't indicate such
@charltonmcmillen74227 жыл бұрын
maybe we give Bon the credit because he deserves it. AC/DC spent the 80's trying to reclaim what they did with BIB and highway to hell, both which Bon contributed towards. AC/DC wasn't that big in the 80's. They're popularity was from what Bon had done with them, not fly on the wall and blow up your video.
@charltonmcmillen74227 жыл бұрын
dude, highway to hell was a monster in 1979/80. How old are you,anyway to even suggest that highway to hell wasn't big when it first came out is stupid. I was just stating the obvious and look no further than what they play live, its mostly 70's material. later, kid

+Francisco Faria at 3:27 that is wrong too, Brian himself explained where he got the idea for the first part of the lyrics. There's a disc that comes in a special version of Back In Black which is a documentary about the making of the album (including lyrics), Bon was definitely not part of it.

Eric Eagles What's the problem with Brian writing that? Ever read the lyrics of Let's Get It Up? They're brilliant, and guess who wrote them, Brian. But I never said Brian wrote all of it, he didn't. Even Tony Platt helped writing You Shook Me All Night Long.

I got lucky when it came to seeing these guys in concert. Bon Scott was the man. I saw them on the "If you want blood, you've got it!" tour while in Omaha, Ne. ACDC crushed the opening act Cheap Trick! Cheap Trick's encore tunes were played with Bon and Angus. The guitarists and the singers went into the audience with the guitarists on the lead singer shoulders. ACDC smoked Cheap Trick. I also saw the High Voltage tour and it was a small venue but it left the audience slack jawed after watching an incredible show. I'm a diehard fan and I'm afraid I don't include Brian in that band.
