Sir, in vfd there is mentioned 6-pulse vfd,12-pulse vfd,18-pulse vfd,24-pulse vfd.so what this pulse no. denote in vfd? how many converter and IGBT in inverter section will be in 12 pulse or 18 pulse or 24 pulse vfd?

Most of the convertor are Made of Diodes which can not control the power.some drives uses thyristor in place of diode bridge they dont need separate soft charge circuit.they charge capacitor bank by thease thyristor.

Vfd display shows LV, what can I do

what is model number and make of VFD? LV means may be LoW voltage which means under voltage alarm you should check input voltage and contactor if used or may be voltage fluctuations from source side. if problem is occering in only one vfd then check load and drive dc bus capacitors.
