My favorite feature on the gen 2 humidifier is the onboard VPD control. And if you're struggling to grasp VPD like I was, check out this video I made breaking it down: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioGlo6aAi6qXibMsi=ZAIDwj08UTS2xhlP

These lil humidifiers are a gem to have in your environment. Used in conjunction with your inline air intake fan is essential. I'll turn the air intake pretty much off, and only have it turn on when needed.. (intake fan is run on temp/ hum sensors like a “Inkbird” )You do not want it pulling valuable humidity out( like in early veg). Also remove carbon filters until flowering time.. Then a slightly lower humidity for remaining cycle… You'll definitely see explosive growth when run in a good VPD parameter. This really makes all the difference in the world 😮… when your dialed in you'll notice your system doesn't have to work hard.. You can zip it up and let it do its job… This should be taught early on like choosing good genetics..😊

Is there a filter I can buy for the fan just for bugs and stuff? I keep my charcoal filter on for any potential moths because of my indoor/outdoor hybrid situation. I'll probably just end up making a custom bug filter if not.

Does dechloinated filter water work well enough to avoid the white film dust? Or must it be full RO or distilled water from the store? I have a great dechlorinating filter but not sure if it will be enough. Thanks.
@HappyHydro3 ай бұрын
It’s my understanding that distilled water removes all biological matter, greatly reducing the risk of mold/mildew growth in the humidifier. Cigar humidors will only use distilled water for this reason. RO water removes all metals but not all biological matter which leads me to believe that you wouldn’t have the white salt build up but still run the risk of mold/mildew. Dechlorination will leave you with metals and biological material still present so it would not be ideal. With this said, I guarantee tons of people run all sorts of water ranging from these above all the way to tap water through their humidifiers - and probably just end up having to sterilize and clean them more often. Maybe a water expert can jump in here and let me know if I missed anything or am misunderstanding!

@@HappyHydrothanks for the reply. Yeah my biggest concern is just trying to avoid the white film dust that gets all over the tent walls and what not. I currently use an evaporative humidifier with my dechlorinated water and it works great at preventing dust but it’s tough to get the humidity up past 60% or so. Therefore I’m hoping the AC infinity one will get me into those 70-80% range to get more rapid growth in veg.

You got to use ro water or it will bung up quick and leave shit all over your plants.
