The chart from Pulse will be a great help, thanks. I live in an old apartment block, it's always quite humid in here around 65% RH. Lowering the RH with dehumidifier doesn't seem to do all that much so I'm considering increasing the temperature in the tent with heater. You reckon that's a good idea?

I'm not to versed in VPD. But I usually keep it like a 73 degree summer day and 50 plus rh in veg and in flower like 69 to 71 degrees and 40 rh or lower.

In the past year, I have become an AC Infinity nut!🤣 I have three tents in my grow room, 4x4, 3x3, and a 2X4. All three tents have smart exhaust fans with the 69 controller. I don't use the VPD section of the controller. I have a window unit AC for the cooling, a dehumidifier And a brand new AC infinity humidifier, that big 15 liter one....... That thing is a beast! The window unit and humidifier controls the lung room environment And I use the fan speed setting to control the temperature in the tent. I ALWAYS have some air flow in my tent, so I have a minimum setting on my fan and then I have a trigger temperature set for the fan to go at a higher rate to bring the temperature back down. Each tent has different lights and different thermal loads, but all three tents have the same style of air flow. The 4x4 and 3x3 are both Gorilla tents and the 2X4 tent is a Mars hydro. On the Gorilla tents, I use the front lower cinched inlets with 6 inch exhaust hose with a screen covering to bring the air into the tent. Just enough of the hose sticks out for it to lay flat and long enough to prevent light intrusion. I used the exhaust hose from the AC infinity 6 inch exhaust fan in the 4x4 tent. It is reflectively lined on the inside, so I fogged the hose outside the tent with flat black paint to knock down the light intrusion even more. The 2X4 Mars tent only has cinched openings at the top, So I use a very long 4 inch Exhaust hose to bring in the fresh air. Comes all the way back down to the bottom of the tent and to the bottom of the floor outside the tent. This way all tents take cool air from the bottom of the lung room and all tents have air flow from bottom front to top rear and it exhausts out the very top. The ceiling fan is always going to keep the lung room air mixed well. This maintains the long room parameters very closely. The tents parameters are just as stable. The CLOUDFORGE T7 Is an absolute beast and is highly accurate! It handles my lung room quite easily at setting 2. The absolute only downside so far is not being able to control it with the phone app when used totally on its own. You can use it with the 69 pro controller, but that is really only for one tent, because it uses the sensor from the 69 controller that is in your tent. With my Grow room set up in this fashion with AC Infinity, my environment has been rock steady! It's been one less thing to worry about and having to constantly check and tweak. Today I will be finishing the installation of my AC Infinity controlled CO2 augmentation! I'll run the hose to one central location in the grow room and then equal length identical hoses with a manifold at the end to distribute the CO2 to each tent, I'll zip tie each manifold to the top bar at the front of each tent. With CO2 being heavier it will fall down to the bottom and being stirred up by the circulation fans, which are AC Infinity also! Each tent will get a supply of CO2 through the manifolds and through recirculation, I think it will be a glorious run! I really love everything that I've gotten so far through AC Infinity! And this smart controller can make your life so much easier!

Hey there! 26 -28C is not a terrible range. If you can keep your tent temperature a steady consistent temperature by staying near or below 27C you should ok. If you notice your tent is getting too warm you may benefit from adding some air conditioning to your lung room so that the ambient air around your tent is cooler. if you have more questions feel free to shoot us an email to help@happyhydro.com

I am new to the AC Infinity world and am a Plumeria grower. When you talk about the VPD regarding plant health, sweet spot of optimal amounts of moisture, vegetative and flower kpa's-is your info for just the marijuana plant or all plants? I'm assuming every thing you said is for all plants, flower or vegetable plants or just the marijuana plant? You showed the Pulse chart as well, same question, is it just for marijuana or all plants? Are different types of plants have different kpa levels for optimum quality and yield for flowering plants? Hoping your info is for all plants and not just for the pot plant. Loved your info!

There are ways to get some of your other grow tech to connect to the controller. They have an adapter for lights which is cool and will allow them to communicate. Also they have a smart outlet, which will allow you to control whatever is plugged into the smart outlet through the controller. The only downfall is its limited capabilities as in it can only turn the device plugged into the outlet on and off.

Good explanation of VPD, but you figures are a bit high compared to other scientific studies i've seen. You must live in a warm climate, so even when you are on lower power light in veg, you are still able to create high temps. In Europe and other cooler winter climates. it quite hard to get over mid 70's in early veg renning LED's, But a VPD of 75 -90KPa is just fine. Anything over 1.0KPa in early flower works well and 140 is the figure most give for mid to late flower.

I may have been over killing my ventilation and having steady high VPD. Now I have a VPD sensor on my new T-3 humidifier I now have my exhaust on low on off at 15 minutes intervals on a timer which saves power and keeps the humidity just about right so far based on leaf temp off set. Its all built into the humidifier. Had issues with leaf tip burn and stress. Going to keep it .9 as the lowest humidifier turns on and it goes down to .84 and shuts off until it gets to .9 and turns on. I need to change that I think. Although I have wide leaf strains that are supposed to like it dry. I will set trigger to 1.0 instead of .9 for late veg . Something I never tried. I always ran my dehumidifier when I probably should not have for the last 4 grows that did alright but could have done batter. I want to see the other extreme now. But now my living space humidity is a few points higher. I prefer it lower a few points.

I have about 24 hours experience. I think the real goal is to save money on power from dehumidifiers is top priority. This makes it easier on the plant making it healthier with a better immune system which could fight off Powder mildew. On the other extreme you rum the dehumidifiers to much you waste power, the plant is stresses, that lowers its immune system to fight off powder mildew and you just kicked yourself in the nuts. I am currently saving 50 % power on exhaust fans by placing them on a timer.

It seems there are several versions of these “optimum vpd” ranges but they are generic and or specific to crops like tomatoes…tomatoes and cannabis hybrids were not developed or climatized to grow in the same environment…imo the needs of cannabis are much different than most vegetables and maybe even different depending where individual cultivars are climatized to..broad leaf and narrow leaf varieties def do not like the same environments…

This is way more complicated than this...he doesn't even consider the room where the tent is located...

I am always interested in learning more! What are your thoughts, especially for the room in which the tent is located in.

I have three pro 69 units and manage a 2x4 old school and it is a balancing act that gives me fits all tents react differently in my lung some time complimenting each other some times they are at odds with regard to environmental needs, and the biomass demands

Not only that. In the Settings. Last Settings of the First Column. It let’s you dial in your Outside Temperature and Humidity for outside your Room. Offset and much more. With this you can dial it to any chart you want/need.

After watching the video I rearranged my entire grow tent (ac infinity 5x5 pro bundle), deleted excess tubing from exhaust fan, opened an extra bottom air intake flap, opened the central ac vents in my basement, and moved the power block for the light outside of the tent. Proud to say my vpd is now 1.44 instead of 1.7+. We shall see what happens when the lights turn out… anything less than an 80% RH spike in the dark will let me know I’m closer to dialing this thing in

I'd bet he's doing more with his life than you are man. If you've got nothing nice to say you should just not bother saying anything. What's it got to do with you and how does it affect your day? 'Stinkin thinkin' is right man
