ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti and Matteo Bonetti join Dan Thomas to discuss the Serie A title picture at the midway point of the season. Despite their 3-0 defeat vs. Atalanta, the guys still believe AC Milan are true contenders along with holders Juventus. Depends on what's your definiton of best league. If by best league you mean competitive then your answer will be different irrespective of quality. For example there can be a league where everyone can bear anyone but no one plays that high quality football like how epl was from around 2010 to 2017. But you can also have a definition where you take into consideration the quality of football played by the teams and some amount of competitiveness like how la liga was between 2008 and 2017 atleast. During that period the big 3 didnt have that big a competition from the rest of the league but the quality of football played by the big 3 plus teams like sevilla villareal in some seasons and the league in general was top class. The thing was like maybe sevilla were not as good as barca or real or atleti but they were much better than some.of the other top teams of europe like arsenal liverpool inter milan ac milan man utd for a lot of years if not all the years in that period.

@@aijaeugene2858 it is not even close. Leicester is going nowhere but is just playing well. Chelsea and Spurs have completely fallen off. Everton and West Ham cannot realistically challenge teams like City and United like Atalanta and Roma could challenge Juventus MIlan and Inter. There is so much depth in Serie A and any team can win or draw any game which just isn’t the case in the PL. Sheffield Fulham and West Brom are not going to beat United, City, or a fit Liverpool. It just can’t happen
