This is just amazing. It is helping me a great deal. I'm studying electrical engineering, now in my third year (5 years course). You're helping me a great deal. Could you please advise me how I can be a power system engineer? Could you also recommend me some software programs I'll need in my field of study? And what I need to master?

in generating transformer u step-up the voltage so that the current value got decreased and loss also decreased but further u r stepping down the voltage so that v decrease and i increase to maintain constant power so as i increases does it lead to i2r loss?

Near 7:40 p=i^2R true but p=v^2/R is also true so if we increase voltage and since R is constant so ain't power dissipation will be more. I know the ans but why and how ☺. Pls reply if anyone knows

acc to ur 'v' it must be pot diff between the sending and receiving end...not only of sending end.Mind that p=v^2/R is loss only when 'v' is pot diff across the resistance(R).

I have a question when we are stepping Up the voltage by using step up transformer the energy transmit to 11/400 kv but at the receiving end next transformer we received 400 kv energy so why so much energy waste in stepping up at previous transformer. The energy can be transmit at 220 kv even if we include IIR loss there is much energy.
@MyLife077 жыл бұрын
its 400V not KV
@rohansoni63357 жыл бұрын

@navneetkumarsabre72757 жыл бұрын
hi. thats a great question. in my opinion the power are dropping gradually not directly because....... 1.if power drops directly then rating of transformer is very high and the losses of transformer increases. 2.transmission lines needs to maintained. high power is flowing through it over long distance leads to higher losses. 3.if we done that what u had thought so might be we save loss in energy,but simultaneously cost of the system increases drastically. see i may be wrong. but i think this is the best suitable answer which i have.:)

Cant we have only one substation ? as one station is enough to step down that large voltage installing a transformer of that much capacity.
